I cannot put into words how phenomenal the service was at Yellow Turtle. I live near New York City but drove up 7 hours to Stowe, VT to be best man at my brother-in-lawâs wedding at the Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe. My daughter, who is 4,was chosen to be one of three flower girls. As we were getting ready for the wedding we realized that my daughters flower girl dress was somehow accidentally forgotten in New York. We reached out to Yellow Turtle and spoke to Tracy. They explained they had a number of different dresses in my daughters size. I also believe it was close to closing time on a Saturday. Tracy personally drove multiple bags of dresses to our hotel immediately to meet with my wife. My wife picked out a beautiful white lace dress for our daughter and my daughter looked beautiful. Tracy was an absolute life saver and I canât thank her enough. I hope this shows what kind business this is. They truly care about...
Read moreWe just left this store a few moments ago, and Iâm not one to usually leave a harsh review but we were so turned off the second we walked in. The clothing store itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of items, so many adorable things and itâs the only place to have the infant Stowe sweater we are on the hunt for â however â we were shocked with disbelief that they chose to play such extremely explicit music throughout the store! Entirely inappropriate for any child to be listening to while innocently shopping for clothes with parents.
The two employees appeared to both be barely 16 and itâs clearly their personal playlist and they are totally oblivious, no shame to them, itâs truly just their naivety but they should be educated on âreading the roomâ and know that explicit songs choices have no place in a dedicated childrenâs store. We left without purchasing because we...
Read moreWent with my mom, mother in law and baby to shop quick before closing, it was 4:50. We were rudely greeted at the door by a miserable dark haired middle aged woman who was like âwe close in 10 minutes.â Pretty much telling us to leave? Not sure if it was because we didnât look like weâd spend money but weâve had a long day. AnywayâŚYouâre open for 10 more minutesâŚ? She rather unwillingly let us in to shop and we got a few things for my baby because my mother in law wanted to get something nice for my son. We would have gladly spent more money if we werenât treated soo poorly. For the slow time of the year youâd think they would treat LOCALS better for supporting local business. We wonât be returning. Also, not sure if that rude woman is the owner or what but for being in the retail business, maybe treat people a little nicer and donât judge a book...
