ABOVE AVERAGE PRICE FOR BELOW AVERAGE MOTEL: This is an older roadside motel that is dated and in desperate need of renovation. Upon check-in I was informed that there is no housekeeping and they haven't provided housekeeping since Covid. The room was very dated and had an unpleasant odor (it really smelled!). When I informed the front desk of the odor after the first night, they acted surprised, but there was an odor eliminator container in the room... hmmm? This is a poor motel in a high demand area so they can get away with running a substandard hotel and charging high rates. Demand for rooms in Stowe is high, supply of hotels is low, thus this owner can operate providing minimal services and not putting any money back into the facility. I will not be staying at this motel again, and suggest that you stay at another hotel in the area. You may have to pay a little more, but trust me, it will be...
Read moreIt is a motel, not a luxury hotel. But for its class it is very good. Located on edge of Stowe on Route 108 on the way to Mansfield Mountain and Smugglers Notch. There are in the area not very far restaurants, cafes and shops. My room was of OK size like the bathroom. Very clean. The bed very comfortable. There is mini-fridge, and hot-water pot to make instant coffee, and TV. No microwave. Wifi is free at very good speed. I measured 25 mbs download speed. The heating system worked well but was little loud. The building/room were little dated. There is no breakfast, and there was no routine room service when I was there. I did not ask for one. On Sundays there is a touristic Farmer Market directly adjacent to this motel. Parking is ample and free. The front desk staff very friendly. If you are looking for practicality, not luxury, it is a very good choice for...
Read moreHave stayed here 5-10x. Has gone downhill a bit over past few years but still decent. Location is still great with walking distance to Alchemist (beer), Edelweiss (deli), Piecasso (pizza), Idletyme (beer) and farmer’s market is now on-site on Sundays! Among Mountain Road properties, among the closest to skiing/the mountain; also right off bike path. WiFi remains subpar so not a place I can work+play. Rooms typically have a kitchenette (+1), beds are fine/pillows ok, no bowed curtain rod in shower (-1). Water would randomly go from warm to ice cold to scalding hot in shower (-1). Bikes available for bike path, front office service is always friendly. Did not partake in breakfast. Tennis court is in disrepair. Pool was refreshing. Overall, a decent option if...
