We chose 2 sandwiches for takeout - the Thanksgiving and the Cowboy, plus an order of onion rings. We used the app to order ahead 30 minutes for a 1:00 pm pickup ... it's a Saturday at prime lunch time, so having to wait another 8 minutes or so after our specified time did not seem that bad for the quality we got, and we def were not the only ones eating there today! First the onion rings - these were the best we've had in ages, still hot & crispy even after about 20 minutes cooling off during the drive back to the house. Large sharable portion too. Both sandwiches were very large and we really should have just gotten one to split, which is what we'd do next time. Both are served on a toasted sub roll, and stuffed to the brim. We felt the Cowboy (tender brisket, crunchy fried onions, melted cheese and BBQ sauce) was hands down the better of the two and an instant favorite. The 365 Thanksgiving (Turkey, stuffing, cranberry mayo) was quite good as well, but we just felt in the end that having a large bread roll with a lot of bread stuffing as well was over the top. Probably would have liked this week's special, the Thanksgiving without the stuffing and as a panini, better. Many were eating in - the tables in the dining room (unless people moved them) were fairly well spaced, and it looks homier now than it did when it was the Blue Donkey. We've got a new lunchtime favorite for our list - and may be back to try breakfast as well one...
Read moreWe have been here a few times each time as unfavorable the other. We have reached our last straw. Let me take you through a typical Stowe Sandwich Company experience. You walk in to a very misplaced door and are greeted by either an arrogant young man or a very unhappy gal. Your entrance will be a grand disappointment to the employees. Then ordering is a visual inconvenience to them. They don’t allow any changes to the sandwiches as they find it to be “a potentially reoccurring inconvenience.” If it’s not on the menu don’t bother asking for it. If you need to use the restroom find the nearest portable toilet it will be cleaner and smell better. It will also make you question what unsanitary organisms lie in the kitchen. 🤮 They food taste like it was made by a child. Not awful but not worth paying for either.
Pros: -Other customers are very nice -There are games and a television available for entertainment -available outside seating -conveniently places near walking/biking trail

I think buildup on sinks is definitely not to be blamed by your customers.
As far as modifications go, maybe your employees need to be made aware of that because all that was asked for was a side of eggs and that was too big of an ask.
I can see who your employees got their...
Read moreWe are staying in town from NJ. I was looking forward to grabbing lunch here which we did. I ordered a chicken sandwich my husband ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with a bag of chips and 2 drinks ($50) but that’s fine as long as the food is worth it. Unfortunately that was not the case. My chicken they served was thick and hard as a rock when I bit into it. Very dense. Not sure if they didn’t pound it correctly or whatever the case was. It was so bad I had my husband try it and he who will eat any type of meat, even spit it out. I then did not each lunch today and was very very disappointed in this meal. I’m not sure if all of their chicken is like this, but needed some protein since I am pregnant and left very hungry. Had to go down the road to a coffee shop to get a snack. My suggestion to them is to do better with your chicken selection and place more care in what you serve! As much as I was looking forward to crossing this place off of my agenda while in Vermont, I unfortunately will not be going back next...
