Snappy Turtle started out as Carole's Canvas Company. Carole's two loves were canvas bags and the colors pink and green. From this, the inspiration sprang for the first Snappy Turtle in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1982. Their motto is "preppy with a twist".

Read moreSo I'm on vacation, I see this nice shop and have already spent over 150 bucks in this place. I come back the next day and I got my brother with me. I pick up a back massager that I wasn't going to put back down because I was going to buy it. The old black women on the other told me to put it down and not "play" with the items like I'm a child. I run my own business and would NEVER speak to my customers the way she did. She needs to be removed from the store and fired immediately. As I will not return and will continue to tell every single person I see not to shop at this store. The other employees are amazing but the old one needs to be laid off.
