Michaels — Local services in Sturbridge

the worst, will not shop there again, last three times were bad experience and each time i said to myself, I'll give it another chance, Im done. since they added self checkouts, there is only ONE person working at the counter, line was long and no help, yes we like to use cash, last time there was there were only two people behind me but it took cashier 12 min to take care of customer before me. another cashier clerk showed up only to show one person how to use self checkout and walked away. then minutes later showed up again to tell me that she can't use another regular check out because its 2 min off 7 and she has to close at 7. since the person in front of me had three kids and each bought different items, it took for ever to charge them. this huge store I bet makes tons of $$ yet can't hire enough humans, btw it costs $30K to install self checkout, they have three or four (rarely anybody uses them) I will never...

This has got to be the number 1 place in Sturbridge where the employees are treated like dogs rathere than humans. Everyone stay away!!! When I went here for some art supplies the other day I saw a woman and her manager at the end of the aisle. He was yelling at the person, not trying to correct them on what they might have done wrong, but berating them and making them feel like worthless pieces of crap. Luckily I caught the managers name tape and his name is Kyle. Everyone I urge you to go to another Michael's where humans are treated equally, and not abused by this manager. That is all he is. He does not know how to lead and work with a team. He is just a person who abuses the workers. For me, shopping at a Michaels is all about the experience, and hardly ever about running in and getting the one item you're looking for. On reformers score, I have never been disappointed and they have a fine variety of almost every form of handcraft you can imagine... However, on the reverse side, the few times I've gone in there looking for something specific I have not had a great track record finding. I realize every store cannot have every item, but no small way the invasion of the giant box stores has eliminated the alternate diversity you used to find in small independent stores.
