We arrived about 7:50 PM there were about 4 other guests, we were seated immediately. The waitress-Rose was very friendly, we ordered @ 8:05 pm our food was finally served about 8:50 pm PM (with no customers our order should have been ready 20 minutes tops, a thin crust pizza takes about 15-20 minutes to prep and cook) we ordered 1 HOUSE W/CRISPY chicken salad & 1 SM TACO thin crust PIZZA & an individual thick crust BBQ chicken pizza to go. The salad was fine, taco pizza what a joke!!!! ( I wish I had taken a picture) Nothing on it, the lettuce was just thrown on the top & slimy, about 10 pieces of crumbled meat, we both looked at it, couldn’t believe it. My friend went to eat her salad, the waitress never gave us any silverware or napkins, (she mentioned it in passing she’d bring the silverware, before we received our food, she forgot) we kept trying to get her attention, she was too busy chitchatting, very inattentive, finally about 12 minutes later she came back, we asked for the silverware and napkins she also realized they forgot the tomatoes, she brought a small bowl with a few tomatoes, she could tell I wasn’t happy with the pizza, she knew Rose took the pizza back and brought a new one, what a huge difference, tons of topping very good. The manager came over and apologized. The 1st pizza never should’ve been brought to me, Rose should have requested another one from the chef, figured they could get away with it. Rose kept apologizing, saying there was only one other waitress blaming the management for scheduling, sorry there was only 1 other customer at that time & the other waitress had no customers, she was going around cleaning up etc. I am very surprised they charged me for the pizza( just for the inconvenience of not being able to get what I ordered and not being able to eat with my friend) I’m sure if I mentioned it they wouldn’t have charged me. Before we left we looked at the BBQ chicken pizza we ordered to go, it looked fine, won’t really know till I go to eat it. There seems to be way too many complaints for the Sturbridge location, someone needs to check into it and retrain the...
Read moreThe last couple of times we went we had the same waitress, Christina. She presented absolutely zero customer service skills; not once did she smile or greet us, seemed irritated just taking the order and annoyed if we asked for a condiment/refill. The first time I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The second time, which was about two months later, I realized that maybe she’s just not cut out for the job. The restaurant was fairly light on patrons both times.
The hostess was able to help us when the waitress couldn’t - or wouldn’t (when asked for a straw and a fork she said she would “try” and didn’t return). I understand they’re doing away with straws but they still have them in plain view.
The food tasted ok but they had to remake it since they forgot to put anything inside one half of the Cubano Pizzanini I ordered (it was literally just bread... how did no one notice?). The remade plate also came back with half the fries it was taken with. I found out later, the Cubano should’ve been three pieces, not two. I hope it wasn’t just a wrong cut because the two pieces were pretty small already. The meal, including the fries, was the same portion size as a kids meal. I’m not exaggerating either - we ordered a kids meal for our child and it was proportionate.
Thankfully, the manager had applied a 20% discount without me complaining, which nearly took off my Cubano from the bill so I appreciate the fact he recognized and made an effort to reconcile the problem.
I do like their Number Uno deep dish but I wouldn’t suggest this location. We rarely go to Unos but anytime we’ve come to this location, we’ve had to have...
Read moreIt took me almost 5 minutes to be seated. Not saying it was busy, I am saying that it took that long for someone to notice me in the nearly empty restaurant.
After that I was seated and immediately my server rushed up asking for a drink and food order, nice and prompt. I asked for a drink and a moment to check the menu ... She brought the coffee then disappeared behind the bar to chat with another customer. 10 minutes later she came back, I placed my order and she was gone. I placed my empty cup of coffee on the table edge indicating that I'd like a refill. Didn't see her until my wings were brought out. To her credit she was dashing around so I figured she was super busy and she did ask if I wanted a refill on my coffee. She rushed back to the kitchen just as a bout of "Happy Birthday" came from there. Once they were done singing and cheering my coffee was brought out.
Shortly after that and my wings my pizza came out. I ordered a 10", got the personal. When questioned my waitress apologized and said she wrote it down wrong and offered to cook the proper one. I declined as I was hungry and had been in the restaurant for about 45 minutes at this point.
I got a single order of the bone in wings, with the buffalo sauce. Being from the buffalo area I will say the wings were not bad. The sauce was spicy, though that's about all that was going for it. What shocked me was the $16 price tag for 8 wings. I probably will. Ever order them here again, that is way over priced for mediocre wings.
The Deep Dish was...
