I had the absolute BEST time visiting Virginia's Daughter this past weekend. This was my first dress try on experience and it was perfect. We came on a day they were hosting a vendor event so I had a free makeup trial done prior to trying on dresses. This was a very cool perk! I was very nervous prior to my appointment because I did not have a great time trying on prom dresses 10 years ago and I know I can be indecisive. I didn't want to feel rushed or pressured or too on display for the rest of the studio to see in case I hated what I was trying on. All of this ended up being a non-issue and I attribute that entirely to the studio's professionalism and expertise.

My consultant was Shelby and she was awesome. She was so patient as I tried on 15 different dresses and some of those 15 multiple times. I felt beautiful in each one thanks to her professional clipping and clamping skills. Towards the end of my appointment I kept switching back and forth between two dresses. Shelby reminded me to picture my fiancé at the end of the aisle and think about how I feel seeing him there while I'm in my dress. I really appreciated her sharing that sentiment with me because it really is so hard to choose when all of their dresses are SO BEAUTIFUL.

This was my first bridal appointment and my last because I said yes to my dress thanks to their beautiful collection of dresses and the wonderful consultant Shelby!

My experience at Virginia’s Daughter was nothing short of fantastic. My mom drove in from out of town for my appointment on a Friday. I tried on a number of dresses with Virginia and narrowed it down to four favorites. I looked at the pictures we took and narrowed it down to two but had pictures of one we tried and I didn’t really consider. We made a last minute appointment the Sunday after since my mom was only in town for the weekend. Hannah had my favorites out ready to go and grabbed the one I didn’t have listed as a favorite and a few others to consider. We narrowed it down again and I ended up saying yes to the dress when my mom was in town which was important to me. Virginia and Hannah had the utmost patience for how indecisive I was. Virginia was also sweet to text when she saw we made another appointment to let us know who we’d be working with and that she wouldn’t be there. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to pick between the two but Hannah helped me frame my choices differently and made me realize I had decided so really thankful for her inputs! I also appreciated Madies words of encouragement as she was doing other things around the shop. The experience never felt like fake excitement over every dress but a genuine experience with strangers. (I hope they get the tattoos they talked about!)

When I was going into the idea of wedding dress shopping (as someone is very self critical of how things fit/look) I was terrified I’d get my feelings hurt by a dress or the price or just not find what I was looking for in general. I did my research prior so I did know going into the appointment the designers they offered interested me. Virginia’s Daughter is VERY pretty and dainty boutique inside! A few photo opportunities are around. I also walked up to the boutique and my name was on the sign! Sweet little touch. Also, my stylist Virginia was so kind and more than helpful. She asked me question even on dresses I didn’t love to get me thinking as well as help her help me find what I was looking for. She didn’t make me feel unwelcome with my budget. She helped ME find dress within 2 hours! When I said “Yes” to the dress she dolled up my moment with flower petals and offered non alcoholic champagne. She helped me enjoy the process! It was so noticed and appreciated! Financially, I went just a bit over budget BUT they are very generous with their lack of many guidelines for payment plans. I have no criticism to give.
