Waffle House — Restaurant in Sugar Land

Don't recommend. I'm going to start out by saying the table service at the last three that I went to, especially this one, has been excellent. BUT.... Three times in a row at three different Waffle Houses I've had subpar food. I won't be going back for a long long while. Just don't seem to be worth my money or time an more. At all three Waffle Houses the sausage patties and bacon were very very thin and about 5 seconds shy of being burnt. And when I say the sausage patties were thin, I mean you could have laid a #2 pencil down next to it and the pencil would've been thicker. Noticably thicker. By a good margin. The bacon was like three pieces of paper thin. The sausage patties and bacon need to be twice as thick as they are now, then they would be the same size as normal size sausage patties and regular cut bacon. At the last one I went to the grits were good...if a little dry. Toast was burnt. Eggs were good. Hash browns weren't burnt but still over cooked (and that's not just my opinion. The elderly gentleman who just got his food as I walked up to pay also complained about the hash browns being overcooked.) Don't bother getting the biscuits and gravy. Whataburger has better biscuits and gravy than the Waffle House. And now the big one!! For a restaurant named the "Waffle" House to have plain "blah" waffles that are also on the thin side is just plain dumb. They should be the best thing on the menu. As far as I'm concerned the grits are the best thing on the menu. Two out of the last three Waffle Houses I went to had over cooked waffles, the last one I had was just plain burnt. I had to sent it back. They are better than Eggo waffles...but not by much...and only when they're not burnt. It's like they're trying to save a buck by making all the food extra thin. It's like getting a $1 cheeseburger at McDonalds,...

The most unprofessional dining experience to date. As we were getting seated, a verbal outburst is taking place between disgruntled employees. Vulgar language is loudly projected throughout the establishment as the disagreement intensifies. The manager, and apparently all cooks scheduled have quit during this shift mind you. After placing our order, one of the disgruntled employees is cursing and storming around for nearly 20 minutes in the parking lot. After about 25 minutes total we finally got parts of our order. The Bacon was burnt, and we never received our waffles. Shortly after the incomplete/botched order was placed on the table, our waitress provides a complete order for customers who placed their order 15 minutes after our order was taken. Lastly, the same employee who quit and was holding up the dining area with Vulgar outbursts decided to come back inside to take orders but refused to cook anything. Horrible experience, and they need new management for this location....

UPDATE Monday December 20th, 2021 9am. The regional manager was a wonderful person, and he contacted me upon my initial experience. CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE! I GREATLY APPRECIATE how peaceful it was when I re-visited this location. Thank you very much for...

Just go to Dennys or IHOP or anywhere people, save yourself the disappointment.

Where should I begin. This was my first time ever eating at a waffle house and I seriously doubt I'll ever choose to go to another one.

The place was dirty, the service was bad, and the workers had no employee etiquette whatsoever. Or hairnets. Having a convo amongst themselves but loudly and cursing; there were children present along with mine.

The table we waited to sit at because it needed to be cleaned still had crumbs and syrup on it. The waitress brought silverware that was spotty and still with food. The waffle makers had batter piled up all on the sides. The cook didn't have a hairnet either. No gloves anywhere.

I understand that Texas is hot and the building is mainly windows which makes it hotter but it was so cold in the building our food was ice cold 2minutes after she put the order on the table. Items in one order came 5minutes apart so I couldn't even enjoy my order because I got it in pieces. Aside from that the waitress totally forgot the first order she wrote down for a kids waffle with sausage.

I did take pics of the 5 people with no hair nets but I really don't want anyone to lose their job.

Terrible, terrible...
