I normally don't leave reviews but I wanted people to learn from my experience. I'm too embarrassed to show my hair. I went in and I wanted to locate a picture of what I wanted but she rudely snapped at me and said "just tell me" and then she cut my hair too short before I could tell her the length. I wanted a couple of inches and she cut about six before asking me if it was enough. Then I said I don't want my hair too dark and she pressured me into getting a color I could tell was too dark and I told her but she said no no no. Also I said I wanted my sides a certain way and she say not this look good and I just went with it bc I was already tired of having to adjust myself to a very uncomfortable position for her to cut my hair. Then... After my hair was cut and the dye was almost finished they added 5 dollars to my original quote bc the owner saw my hair and told her she needed to add five dollars. I'm greatful I didn't ask for bleach. I told her not too dark and walked out with and almost black color. All I wanted to do was cry when I walked out and she told me your hair makes your skin look lighter. I came to this salon by random recommendations and I'm sure there's great stylists here but make sure you go to one that's recommended not a random one like I did. It was a bad experience from start to end and Im posting this so future customers can come in knowing they can be pressured into getting what they don't want and be uncomfortable. I'm blessed hair grows back. I left a good tip bc the economy is terrible and I'm not a jerk but she did not deserve it. Honestly at the moment I have dark hair dye all over the sides and top of my face that I've been trying to get off with various methods but it's stuck there. Grateful I don't have a major even to go to. 95 dollars...
Read morethey gave me what i wanted at a decent $8. very quick service, was in and out within 10 minutes.
Update: I went a few weeks ago( after being a loyal customer for the better part of 4 years) to get my little brothers haircut by Tony himself. For some reason he seemed to be in a poor mood. I asked for a haircut and he proceeded to cut. When he told me he was done I asked him to clean up some of the uneven parts of the haircut. He seemed to have gotten pretty angry at this notion. He agrees and then aggressively yanks at my younger brothers collar and works on the hair in an aggressive manner. My brother told me that when he pulled the collar it was very very discomforting. After this experience I decided to never comeback, I was extremely disappointed with the service I had received and felt like Tony had directed his anger at us...
Read moreI've been there twice more and I get the same hair cut each time. Anyway, I've been charged 2 different prices for the same haircut. $11 the first time and $14 the second time. I don't get a fade or any other elaborate cut. Just a standard over the ear a cut the top.
Personally I think I shouldn't be charged the $11 cut because it takes about 15 minutes to cut my hair.
I will say that they do a good job, but I don't see inflation hitting a salon so hard that they have varied pricing. I left my previous salon because they jumped from $11 to $17 dollars for a simple haircut. Joe...
