Updates: Careful about those 5 star reviews! Why there is no any other stars, cause once they found you left a non-5-star review, they asked you to delete it even BEFORE the cleaning work started, AFTER the more than an hour wait. I asked should you at least do your job first?! Cause itās already pretty late, or should we just leave without the service... But all they care is the reviews which can attract more business for them, not the patients at all. Not just the staff, but even the doctor repeatedly ask you to remove the review during and after the appointment. They even call my husband ask him to tell me to remove the review in exchange for a free teeth clean. They have a very disorganized staff structure: the financial lady who also cleaned teeth for kids, and the doctor took care of google reviews and IT issues during working hours and didnāt know we are new patient for just annual check and teeth cleaning. And for the about 2 hours staying there, max 20 min service was fast and sloppy. My sonās one teeth got hit a little (on the outside only) in the daycare 3 years ago and they said itās a decayed teeth⦠while all the other pediatric dentists in the past 2.5 years said itās not. And after the cleaning they automatically made the next appointment FOR ME WITHOUT EVEN ASK ME about my availability. On my way home I received the appointment message. And you know what, during the tons of consent forms, one of which mentions they will charge you $100 if you donāt show up on appointment, EVEN THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT MADE BY YOU I guess. They are the least professional business I ever met⦠horrible⦠never could imagine we may meet soooooo many awful things in one appointment. āā- We changed from another clinic to here, attracted by all the good reviews on Google. However, after it took my husband 40+ minutes to make the appointment and gave all the information, today when we arrived here, my sonās name was wrong, they have no information in their system, the insurance they havenāt and cannot get confirmed. So now weāve already waiting here for more than 1 hour but done nothing! And still waiting⦠But this insurance we just used 6 months ago, and we have the same insurance and same everything. Besides, not like other clinic, most (not 1 or 2ā¦) staff working here are extremely young. One cannot even speak English well. Iām a little worried about their experiences. And during the long long wait, the kids on our left and on our right kept crying. Even after one left and another come, the new kid was still sad and crying. (After they saw this review and that was even before we started any cleaning yet, they began to explain why those kids crying: because they were special needs children. So we were just that āluckyā and can meet at least 4 or 5 special needs children in one afternoon. Then they said just 2 families of special needs children and others are their siblings crying⦠anyway) Iām soooooooo surprised how all those 5 stars come from⦠Not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst Dental home did an excellent job in taking care of my son and his dental needs. They made the process understanding as to what would happen along through out the process. Their office was very clean and set up nice. Only reason Iām not giving 5 stars is the communication is a little off. To start the paper work I received with fax number and telephone numbers were wrong. When I called they said they probably havenāt updated it, which isnāt good cause it was hard to make contact but I got the correct phone number and fax numbers. My son had to have a covid test and physical done before going into Texas children hospital. His doctor faxed everything over to their office for me. They called 3 days before his procedure asking for the information they had not received it. I told them it was sent over by fax and the women on the phone was able to find it and said we were good to go on our scheduled appointment date. Now this is a Texas children hospital thing but it was very inconvenient the dentist could give you the date of your app but could not give you a time until the day before. This makes it hard with parents with other kids and having to find childcare because you canāt take anyone else with you to the app due to covid regulations still in place so not knowing a time of the app until the day before made it difficult to let my sitter know what time I needed her to be there with my kids and if it would conflict her work schedule. Fortunately she loves me so much she just took the whole day off to ensure she would be available at any time. But back to the lack of communication I get a call the day before his surgery and I am thinking yes finally they are calling to give me a time. Wrong! Once again someone else on their staff called me the day before and said they had not received his covid test or physical and they would have to cancel his appointment if they donāt have it. Iām like woooaaahh it was faxed over to yāallās office on Friday and I spoke to another representative who confirmed they had received everything. Then his tone changed he looks it up apologized and said it was put in his file. It made it a little stressful then having it then saying they didnāt have it then finding it again but nothing less once we made it to Texas childrenās hospital they did a fabulous job. We were greated by Dr.GiGi and she walked me through the process every step of the way. She made my son and I feel very comfortable and at ease where we were both a nervous wreck given he was about to have surgery. Sheās very knowledgeable and great with children and holds them as her top priority. I love her for taking care of my child as her own and highly recommend her and first dental home. Just need a little better communication and organization on the office side of things to make the visits go a little smoother. Thank you First Dental Home for always taking care...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook years to find a good dentist for my twin boys. My youngest had a cavity that one doctor claimed he fixed it but didnāt. Took three years to find FIRST DENTAL HOME. Iām glad we did. Once my son sat down they took interest in him as a person. Asking him questions that others will ask the parent. My son was shocked and looked at me. I felt that was sweet to involve the child in. He can only tell you if he is in pain or not. Yes he was nervous but I can tell they tried to make him as comfortable as he allowed it. They didnāt push him too far. I knew he needed to be sedated so everything worked out so good. The day of his procedure that was moved up when someone canceled (a major plus), they did everything to make him feel comfortable and myself. This was his first time being sedated so my nerves was shot. But they made sure I knew ever step of every way that made me feel good about everything. Dr. Gill is very informative, professional and caring towards your child and you as a parent. Iām so glad I found this place. I brought my other son that have disabilities and everyone was careful and caring towards him. Beautiful place. Please do not ever change. I love for doctors to talk to me like a human, a parent and willing to educate you on your children. (Thank you Dr Gill.) I had a horrible experience when I was younger with a dentist that kept me away from a dental office. I want my children to have a positive experience and never experience what I had to go through. I believe I finally found the right place...
