First of all I visited this store on 4 different occasions and three of the four were similar. First I went in there asking for information about rentals and the lady that set me up was super helpful and offered great customer service. The second time I went I was accompanied by three if my groomsmen and the gentleman who assisted us (older middle eastern male) started by taking my sizes and measurements but throughout the whole process was rude. On top of being adamant about using larger sizes he told me I didn't fit in clothing I wanted and I wasn't wearing the tuxedo right. I wear dress clothes for work on a regular basis so I know my measurements and I never asked for his opinion. If I want my tux slim fit I can get what I want without his opinions. Anyways I left unsatisfied and he told me to come back a month prior to my wedding to get re-sized. The following day I return with three other groomsmen and some of the children in the wedding. the gentlemen that assisted us were much nicer but were in rush so basically told us we got this and you can come back next month to get re-sized so we can be 100%. They also said let’s wait for next month to measure the kids because they grow fast and we want to have the best measurements for them which I was ok with . Well now that a month is left for my wedding we returned with the kids and half of the groomsmen only to be received by Tiffany and her attitude. We were aware she was the only one back there and we knew we were a large group so we were not rushing her but she came off aggressive and bothered. If she doesn't like the customer service sector then why is she in retail? None the less we didn't get fitted because she made it seem like she was doing us a favor when we are the paying customer. We are getting over 10 tuxedos from Men’s Warehouse to be belittled and feel uncomfortable with the service they are providing. Not only did she provide the worst customer service when I called in to speak to the GM she answered the phone and pretended to be the General Manager. Somebody who acted the way she acted with paying customers couldn't possibly be in charge of a store. Anyways aside from this email I'm calling corporate because it bothers me that I’m coming in and bringing business to a store to be treated like scum. I truly hope this helps others and she gets written up for the...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this Men’s Wearhouse location. My fiancé and I were shopping for our wedding, a moment that should be special and enjoyable. However, our experience was far from that. He politely asked an older Black woman working there if he could try on a button-up shirt, and she responded with a hard "NO" and simply walked away. My fiancé was confused and unsure of what to do next, so he went to put the shirt back.
I was shocked by her rudeness, so I approached her and said, "Excuse me, that was extremely rude." Her response? "Ok," followed by walking away again. One of her coworkers even asked what caused me to say this, and she tried to play the victim, claiming all she said was that he couldn’t try on the shirt. That’s not true at all—she rudely dismissed us and walked off.
At that point, we decided to put back all of the items we had planned on buying and headed to another location instead. I understand if trying on shirts might be against store policy, but there’s a much more polite and respectful way to communicate that to customers. It felt like she just didn’t want to be there, or maybe she shouldn’t be working in customer service at all.
To make matters worse, when I shared this experience with my mom, she mentioned that she also had a terrible encounter with this same employee when she came in to get a suit for my dad. She even waited for another associate to be available because she didn’t want to deal with the rudeness.
After reading other reviews, it seems this isn’t an isolated incident. Upper management seriously needs to address this behavior because it’s clear this store is losing customers due to poor customer service. We won’t be returning to this Men’s Wearhouse, and we’ll gladly drive out of our way to another location to avoid this kind...
Read moreThinking of renting a suit from here? Don’t do it. Go with TheBlackTux or Menguin.
The suits here are about twice as expensive to rent as the ones mentioned above, and the penalty fees are a joke. They bombard you with emails after you start the rental process, and never in any of those emails do they mention that there is a late fee for submitting payment past 15 days before the wedding. We had to call customer service to finally get that answer.
Do you have an out of town wedding? Well be prepared to pay because for every day you turn your suit in past the day after the event, you’re charged $20. We had a wedding Saturday, got back in town late Monday night, and on Tuesday I was charged a $40 late fee, bringing total cost of the rental to $230 (For pants and jacket only). At no point in the rental process did the employees at this location warn me that there would be such a steep late return penalty. When I brought that up they just told me that I should have seen the due date on the tag on the suit bag, which I didn’t think was something I even had to look at.
For reference, BlackTux and Menguin give you a full 3 days to return your suit with a prepaid shipping label they provide you.
Also be prepared to receive your suit a mere 2 days before your event. If it doesn’t fit right, they say they’ll get a different one to you on the day of the event. No one wants to worry about that on the day of a wedding, and if for some reason it doesn’t come in you’re simply screwed. BlackTux and Menguin will get your suits to you 7-14 days in advance.
Men’s Wearhouse just wants to nickel and dime you. They’re not...
