So I’d remembered this time in Las Vegas at a Phish concert on Halloween 2014 this old friend of mine named Mike put his sweet Sennheiser headphones with the curly cord on my head with last night’s RIPPER in my ears in all its triumphant, thunderous glory. I was dancing around the hallways of the MGM Grand while we waited for our choice of rail or in Mike’s case “his prime taping spot”. We were all buddies. The tapers and the front row folks. We traveled together. We shared the love. Fast forward to this year I’m researching headphones and I start at Sennheiser but I would land on Focal which would lead me to the great Thomas Kiss. The mad German. Let me tell you I love this man like a brother after meeting him just once! We already know the German ear is of the most sensitive on Mother Earth. The man is sensitive too. I’m autistic and ADHD and I mean I’m a handful yet Thomas was extremely patient when my motormouth wouldn’t stop and he was just excited that I was excited. So kind. So generous with his time and “the big stereo”. We sat and listened for maybe an hour and a half. Trading songs. He even improvised with me perfectly when a young boy and his mom were leaving. I called out “hey you wanna pick a song?!”. The boy was shy but you know he wanted to. Thomas could sense it too and he immediately said “yeah, what’s your favorite song?”. The boy landed on Bob Marley Could You Be Loved? and his mom said as he was walking around looking and dreaming, his mom said she would sing that to him all the time when he was little. My mom is my best friend. That made my whole year! This day had me blabbering to my mom and everything. I bought the Focal Bathys because I’m autistic and the noise cancelling is top tier and they’re THE BEST Bluetooth headphones your money can buy period, full stop. Around $750 out the door. If you have sensitive hearing and/or gifted hearing or you just want to explore high fidelity this IS LITERALLY A HIDDEN GEM. It’s the place I’m taking my mom to and every music aficionado that I know. When I win the lottery or grind my way to the top I’m for sure buying gear from Thomas along the way. Thomas is my new Mr Myagi for all this stuff. There’s no doubt he could answer any audio engineering, sound reproduction, music related question you could ever think of and if he couldn’t I’m confident he would be humble enough to never guess. He would actually enjoy learning something new alongside you. He’s the real deal. My intuition they say, is a gift. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t but I sat there for two hours with Thomas listening to music spanning maybe 10 decades and it was as pure as Church. Music is my religion. He even answered the phone and guided me in with walking directions (again, super kind and patient - he had no idea I’d even end up buying anything). Right by Foot Locker four corners. Thank you Thomas! Can’t wait to...

TL,DR; I've walked by AV Luxury Group many times. I never passed without a glimpse or sometimes staring at equipment I dream to have one day. I thought it was only a store for when I plan to Upgrade my home audio or video, I learned there's more.
While looking online via web search for a limited edition record album I noticed that what I wanted was available at a storel in Las Vegas. When I saw the store it was at, AV Luxury Group, I began to wonder if I was reading things incorrectly, to my pleasant surprise I read it correctly and now I was able to have a better reason to gawk at the amazing equipment at AV only now I could become a customer too!
I reserved the album online and wondered if when I arrived it would be available still. A couple hours later before I was planning to head to the store, I received a phone call from AV Luxury Group confirming that I was interested in picking up the album instead of having it shipped. I verified my intentions of a pickup and proceeded as planned.
When I arrived at AV it was as amazing as ever inside, a true place to fall into imagination-land. I slowly made my way around the store, staring at everything and imagining how I could fit or place some things in my house. When I got to the store's center, I came upon a treasure trove of albums that is only surpassed by the amazing audio equipment that truly makes this store a wonderland for the A/V geek in many of us. While I went through some of the albums I had to use my self restraint due to a financial obligation for everything else in life. I only bought a couple albums I wasn't intending to, though I could use a Lottery winner's worth of money there and smile the entire time.
When I requested to checkout, I asked if the album I had held was still available. The store owner was there and grabbed the album he had placed off to the side for me when we spoke on the phone earlier. I was pleasantly surprised by the store owner's personal touch and after paying for all my merch I happily walked to my car, knowing I found a new place for my whimsical...
Read moreI would like to share my negative experience with Audio Visual Solutions Group. In 2016 I purchased a pair of Floor Model Sonus Faber Speakers. The original boxes were discarded and told Thomas that I don't need the boxes today but will need them eventually or I will never be able to sell the speakers down the road. Thomas said no problem and agreed to the terms. He said when they move to the new Tivoli location that they will give me boxes from a new set of SF speakers that they will set up for display. I paid in cash and made sure that I got it in writing that boxes/packaging will be provided. I was supposed to be contacted when the boxes were available for pickup.
Fast forward to 2018, I contacted Thomas and reminded him that I am still waiting for boxes should I decide to sell the speakers some day. He replied with the following answer. "I never promised that I would get you the boxes, I promised that I would 'try' to get you the boxes". This was not understanding. After all on my attached receipt it clearly states "Packing for speakers will be provided.". This was I a nightmare scenario. I was now bound to these speakers.
In 2020 I decided it was time move out the speakers. Inquired about retaining boxes from SF direct. The cost of the boxes would be $500. Instead I decided to try to sell them locally in LV and SoCal at the reduced amount. It took 4 months to find a buyer and I had to sell below market.
At no point did Thomas offer any solutions or try make this right. Needless to say I would never do business with AVSG nor would I...
