Wow, where do I begin, from the time I called Amanda on the phone until the time she dropped me off at the airport 3 days later. Kelly the owner and his crew had been nothing but accommodating, fare, virtuous and the most important completely open and honest with me on all my vehicle needs.

There suggestions were many and all up to me in what I wanted or needed to do.

Like walking into any mechanic shop I figured Oh boy I am going to get nailed from being out of the state driving back to Las Vegas from Florida and I broke down 80 miles from San Angelo. AAA couldn’t even help me out by finding me a mechanic.

When the tow truck driver showed up he new of an old mechanic shop he use to use when they built his first car. Dustin said if this guy is still there it would be the best experience I would ever have with a mechanic shop owner and it’s employees.

I had to have a lot done on the vehicle but I honestly felt I was being treated fairly and just. Kelly fixed something for me to make it back to Vegas but did say when I got there I would have to get other things worked on.

I asked him if he could do them at his shop and he said yes but not for a few weeks due to ordering the parts.

I decided I would rather have him do the work then get taken from a Las Vegas shop. For example a LV shop charged me $40 to change my break light and I supplied the break light. I could believe it.

So I paid $1,000 extra for my plane tickets round trip to get back when the vehicle was finished. Well with the extra $1,000 on tickets then getting taken by a mechanic in LV for maybe $2,000 or more.

Kelley is to me a very honorable man and business person and his staff where very accommodating. I would recommend that shop over any other shop I have been to in the past 30 years.

This is becoming my go-to place to have my vehicle serviced. They always come through for me even at a moment's notice. I recently made the mistake of trying to re-fill my Lexus RX-350's AC coolant myself but ended up over-filling it and knocking out the AC system completely as a result... this during a week when Vegas is supposed to have multiple days of near 110-degree temperatures. Since I wasn't sure who might be able to take a look at my vehicle on such short notice I tried scheduling a service appointment at multiple places. The local Lexus dealer service department didn't have an appointment slot available until 10 days later. Another place I've had my vehicle serviced in the past didn't have an available appointment until three days later. I then decided to take my chances and drop by The Car & Truck Guys first thing Monday morning to see if they might be able to look at my vehicle any sooner since I recently had a great experience there with them fixing a gushing oil leak for me as a last minute drop-in at the end of the day a couple of months ago. This time around, even though I didn't have an appointment, they still managed to diagnose and fix my vehicle's AC system within hours after I dropped it off to them. Best of all, the cost of the repair was far below what I had expected. The service I've received at The Car & Truck Guys has far exceeded the service I've gotten at any other auto repair shop, both here in Nevada or in California where I used to live. I found out about The Car Guys through the State of Nevada's Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR); they're the only shop VR trusts and is willing to work with, and I learned why; they were able to help me with a problem that I didn't think could be solved. I couldn't register my 2001 Dodge Ram van because of a computer issue, then my battery died. Rich, the owner, underpromised, and overdelivered, because they had a new battery, and Engine Control Module (ECM/Computer Assembly) installed, including programming, and they gave me a 36 Month/36,000 Mile Nationwide Warranty! Now, my van starts up every time, it passed the smog emissions test, and I can finally register it again, which means when I interview for a job - I can honestly say I have reliable transportation again, which also means I can look forward to financial stability, and hope for a stable life with my nuclear family, which is priceless.
