First time at this location on Charleston by Smith's The sandwiches were good here too... Only thing parking gets full fast because of Smith's grocery store... We went at the right time no one was there... I got tbe medium Italian sub which was huge... stuff with plenty meat... i really like the Italian dressing they put on top... my daughter had the medium meatball sub... The meatballs was huge too and the marinara sauce was ono too... the service was fast and friendly... this place is a really good place for a quick grab n go... And everything thing is fresh from the bread to the meat and even all the toppings including the sauces...

Ordered Firehouse Subs online on a Friday evening. They did not disappoint at all! We ordered the Cold Italian, the Cheesesteak, and the Triple Stack. The Cold Italian was one of the best subs I've ever had and the price was great too. The Cheesesteak was also delicious and modified exactly how we said (no onions). And the Triple Stack, which said it is for a limited time, was my hubby's favorite and he suggests to keep it permanently on the menu. The subs were packaged in awesome containers that didn't make them all squished. This Firehouse Subs location is highly recommended!

never again. we going, we obviously look like we're gonna buy cause why are we looking at the menu and in line, then my partner was gonna go to the bathroom and were told that they're closed... it has an out of order sign, not a customer only sign. fine no biggie, he walks to Smiths while I wait because we were obviously eating there. so while we're paying we find out that they bathrooms are not closed but customers can use them. shitty tactic plus rude ahh service. instead of apologizing they're wer just more rude. done w firehouse subs. pictured is a med sub for 13$

Pros: The hot Italian sub is very tasty.

The staff is always super pleasant (this isn't something I care about personally since I am a 25 year veteran in customer service, but I have to give them props for consistency in that area).

I've been in there at all hours of the day, and night for the past several years, and I have never experienced an inordinate wait time ever. Not a single time.

I am a fan of the new "to go" containers as they are durable, and look to be made from recycled material that is biodegradable.

Cons: Best to either dine in, or if you live close by call in your order as the hot subs can get a tad soggy from heat generated moisture if left sitting for 20-30 minutes (don't get me wrong they are still tasty as hell, just saying for maximum quality, and presentation).

The large subs run $9ish, and this is a decent price point. However, the smalls are usually $4 or so, and are slightly less than 1/2 the size of half of a large. So if you, and a friend are going best to get a large, and split it, or for familes ordering multiple subs that will get you more bang for your buck.

All in all a solid lunch/dinner spot where you don't have to wait, and if you have the time to dine in, and chow down on a fresh out of the oven sub your truly can't go wrong. Keep up the good...

Update: 11/6/24:

Changing from 1 star to 4 star

They have won my business back, their Italian sandwiches are my favorite and the Cajun chicken when available is very nice as well. Currently the thanksgiving sandwich is my go to and has really filled in the gap between this and earl of sandwich.

Well this is the last time I order from firehouse subs, last time my order was a bit wrong but not too bad. This time it's as if someone who couldn't read made my order! I wanted white bread with the turkey and cranberry club (no lettuce, tomatoes, or onions since I find that weird with cranberry sauce). Whoever made my order put all of those items I did not want on the sandwich, and even gave me wheat bread when I specifically stated WHITE BREAD. Too much of a hassle to deal with them any longer, goodbye firehouse subs. I will stick with Capriotti's and Jersey Mikes. At least they can correctly...

Incredibly annoying, lazy, dishonest employees and management. I had been coming to this location for years and liked it, very close to my work. About a year or so ago they started closing the bathrooms to the public. Post handwritten signs on them saying out of order, and other lies, but then they will tell you they just close them if asked because they don’t feel like cleaning them. Been consistent now for a long time, so it’s just their new policy of the current workers and managers. I can’t believe a company would tolerate a store to just decide this on their own as it’s lazy, dishonest, unprofessional and horrible customer service. Can’t wash your hands or anything because they’re just too lazy. It’s gotten very slow to get a sandwich as well. I will never, never go back to what used to be my favorite sandwich shop. Amazing how decisions of a bad few can lose...
