I just had a terrible experience at the Hualapai location. I’m in town for work and decided to try it since it’s close to the resort. The waitress was sweet, I was bummed they didn’t have Diet Coke products but that’s all of Vegas. I ordered my cheese free skillet and it came smothered in cheese, I patiently waited for a new skillet but no apology whatsoever for the mess up. My friend decided instead of toast she wanted to try the coffee cake with her skillet so they brought that out. The waitress came and seemed confused that we now had toast and coffee cake and I requested some toast not slathered in butter. She went to talk to the manager who proceeded to laugh and stare at our table, my husband asked them to just keep it professional it wasn’t a big deal we could pay for the coffee cake but I figured since I was still waiting for my non-cheese skillet they could just throw that in. My husband mentioned to the manager that laughing wasn’t the right thing to do in that situation, the manager approached the table from my side of the table and confronted my husband and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I asked him multiple times nicely to please step away, he was intimidating me, not even acknowledging I was sitting below him while he was trying to get a rise out of my husband. I pushed my plate away and said I don’t even want to eat now and he still wouldn’t walk away. When he finally did he walked back by our table to say another snarky comment to my husband about being nice or leaving which is a craft store sign hanging on their wall. We were being nice, we are always nice, we are always generous tippers. That just seemed very unprofessional and unnecessary to publicly try to humiliate and intimidate me in front of other patrons over a piece of coffee cake. No apology whatsoever and not one comment when we left. On a side note my skillet was actually good once they got it right, the manager just completely ruined...
Read moreI think I’ve been here once prior with my husband but my dad had a doctors appointment he could not drive to so I took him. We stopped here afterwards and upon getting to the restaurant they have very limited parking close to the door, and while it was busy inside there was no wait to be sat. They do have some cute and funny signs posted up around the restaurant which adds to the atmosphere. We got seated in the back of the restaurant and my dad commented how expensive everything was priced. We waited over 5 minutes just to get drinks, and our server came over with an already uptight attitude. We ordered our food and waited around 15 minutes just for it to come and that was reasonable considering it was busy. While we were eating our server did check on us a few times and did a quick fix for my dad’s food. However we were close to the bar and we overheard our server reprimanding one of the other servers for commenting how a large party did not tip. I find that to be very unprofessional and unnecessary. She would not allow the other server to speak and there is absolutely no reason to reprimand another employee when you are not a manager nor should you be doing it in front of your guests. If it was in fact an issue a manager should’ve been notified and the manager should’ve retained all the information before correcting the issue in private. I find it to be a very reasonable reason to be upset as a server if a party did not tip and I have been present plenty of times to know servers do talk about this amongst each other in multiple restaurants. Overall the food was overpriced and nothing overly extraordinary for the price we paid. Our service had been decent while eating but i do not find reason for our server to act the way she did and it creates a very tense environment for guests to eat and...
Read moreThis place reminds me of "The egg 🥚 & I" which have probably a handful of locations around town that are always busy ime which is always a good sign. It's good for what it is, breakfast. I think they close at 2 pm or so (don't quote me on that but I'm almost positive as I just went there, so I should know) however their omelettes are tasty/fresh (even though the person I went with wasn't overly enthusiastic about this place as I was) they have they side order of a cake thats almost like a cinnamon roll, but they change it up slightly every so often. Ours had raspberries in it. They were fresh but only a tiny sliver and coated with a nice cinnamon bun style glaze (not too think) I was pretty impressed. Apparently so are lots of folks because they charge $105 for a full coffee cake thats it! (its probably pretty big and I'd guess would have around 20-30 slices of what they give and a side option) so where the Egg 🥚 and I is known for there has browns the little square ones with a special in house topping that's a tiny bit spicy but good, and they sell they seasoning too abd it usually sells out. I would give these places a tie a 4.4 for breakfast which is in my book the best local "chains" I'd like to try the eggs Benedict next time. Ive never been to blueberry hill but from my 11+ years of being here these three are apparently the best locally Owned spots. Obviously the strip has amazing breakfast as does downtown but as for locals these two are my faves. Now it's on to blueberry hill to see if it lives up to the hype and long lasting reputation. I'd Highly reccomed. I went to the one one fort Apache...
