(Bad return policy) This used to be my favorite shop, I would take all my friends here and go to all the shops. But last time I was in I bought a roller lip gloss. The kind you would get in the 90s and 80s, for my daughter. It was supposed to be bubblegum but it had a old makeup taste and smelled weird. Before leaving the store, I told the cashier and ask if I could return it because I think the product was old. She was very nice but said she had to follow the shop owners policy. Which is no returns on personal items (lotions and perfume included). It’s sad because I was so disappointed I just ordered some online at a certain company that starts with an A, 6 for 10$ and they smelled and tasted great, plus 100% return policy. The one I got there was way overpriced 10$! For one (only realized until after purchasing). I know I’m usually going to spend more in store, but I know I’m paying more for the experience and customer service; but not the case here. I’d much rather support a small business, but unfortunately there’s a lot of local shops with not return policies. I love supporting small businesses and this local store was one of my favorites until I saw their attitudes and behaviors on mask wearing. The owner and her employee were wearing their mask incorrectly, under their nose. The store was crowded, I felt anxious and wanted to leave the store when I saw a nearby customer had pulled her mask down to her chin. I was in the middle of my transaction so I had no choice but to stay inside the store. I called out the customer for not wearing her mask. The owner immediately came to that customers defense by saying “not everyone can wear a mask”. That was clearly not the case in this situation. Maybe the owner did not see the person had a mask she chose to lower to her chin upon entering a crowded, small, poorly ventilated space. No excuse. How ever I have to say that during our visit an older lady and her worker made us feel completely uncomfortable when we were there, their eyes never left us. My husband and I work for the union it was nasty out side so we were a little dressed down, due to the rain, but we make good money. Its my birthday today and we got profiled as theifs! We felt so upset to the point were I put each cooky cutter on the counter so they would stop hovering. I thought this would make them feel more comfortable, but they still hovered and staired. Sadly we will not be returing. My husband bought our stuff early and I didn't even finish shopping. I appreciate his feelings and felt the same.
