DON’T EAT HERE!!! This was one of the worst food experiences I have ever had. We got sat right away (8 of us). We ordered our food, 3 pizzas and 2 salads. It took about 45min to get our pizzas. Our salads weren’t even made by the time our pizzas were brought out. We were given 6 plates and 3 napkins for the whole table with no silverware. We asked for more plates and napkins but did not receive them, we had to get up and get them ourselves. I looked over at the open kitchen to see where our salads were and I see the garde manger (salad guy) trying to make 4 different salads at once, not really getting anything done. At first he was wearing gloves but as he proceeded to make salads he took his gloves off!!! That is a big No No!!! You do not touch ready to eat foods with bare hands!!! This is something you have to know to get your food handlers card! He continued to make our salads without gloves on. He would alternate between wearing gloves and not wearing gloves without washing his hands…You can get people really sick or kill them by doing this! I saw the kid who was cooking our pizzas scratch his face and proceed to touch everything in the kitchen without washing his hands. Now everything he has touched is in cross contact. Anyone who touches what he touched is spreading germs, which again can get people sick. I asked the server to speak to a manager because I am unhappy with our poor service and poor food handling. I was told that the manager isn’t in because they are on vacation. Fine. So I asked to speak to the PIC (person in charge). Got told by our server that she was. I told her we aren’t paying for our food and explained again that we were unhappy and disgusted with what we had witnessed. She called the manager or someone and told us that they could only offer a partial refund and we would have to wait for the manager to come back from vacation to be fully refunded. Myself and another person from our party asked for this manager’s number so that we could speak to them. The server said okay and went and called whoever again, returned to our table and said she couldn’t give us that information. Clearly the staff here has not been properly trained, both front and back of house or the lack of a PIC has allowed them to do whatever they want without any accountability. Being a chef and in the industry for the past 8 years myself, I expect at the very least the bare minimum standards to be followed whenever I choose to eat out. This experience was absolutely horrible and avoidable had those bare minimum standards been followed. Never once got a apology or offer to...
Read moreTheir pizza is usually pretty good at the Sumner restaurant..the Puyallup restaurant inconsistent..we always call our order in so we can just drive down from Auburn and pick it up and when we order we are spending $70or$80 dollars but after today I really don't think I'll go back..ordered 2 large pizzas and an order of chicken fettuccine Alfredo not impressed at all with the fettuccine and what really got me hot was the wait time..we were told 20 or 30 minutes so I said,perfect..we are coming from Auburn..we got there about 15 minutes early so I waited in the. Car while my friend went in to pay and wait the remaining time, only they hadn't put it in the oven yet...i ended up waiting about 40 minutes in the Car while my friend waited inside,,,needless to say I was less than happy about it..iit..i Don't know who the manager is but they might want to have a little sit down with their employees..they have lost 2 customers today which I'm sure won't affect them but it is a loss of $80.00 plus usually the change from a hundred for the tip jar every time we order....maybe turn the tv off while there's no customers..just a thought... Thank you and sorry I wrote a book here but it wouldn't do any good calling the same people I'm whining about.,,have a...
Read moreI had lunch at the Sumner location on 10/07/15. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food as compared to the Puyallup location. I ordered the slice bar with a salad. The salad consisted of a plate of lettuce with 3 croutons, a pile of mushrooms, a pile of olives, & the salad dressing on the side. I was expecting a little more on the salad; like maybe some tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc. The pizza had almost no flavor & tasted like cardboard with cheese on it. The Hawaiian had what appeared to be a smidgen of some sort of white sauce that had no taste, the pineapples were so dried out they were like tasteless yellow triangles, the ham was chewy & tasteless as well. The pepperoni had a light tint of red sauce that was dried up & the crust was flavorless, it was as though I was eating a dried up piece of cardboard with some toppings. I have been to the Puyallup location many times & the food is always top notch. The Sumner location is not even on the same playing field, much less the same league. I sure hope the drop in quality has not spread to the...
