Full disclosure: I love me some Target. Full disclosure #2: I have no reason to lie to Internet strangers.
This Target is cleaner than most I've been to, and it has more items on clearance more frequently than other Targets; like, East Madison, for example.
Returns are a breeze here. They let you exchange makeup as well, so take that makeup-only stores! Some employees are more helpful than others. I haven't come across too many employees that don't actually want to help, but if I want someone to help me get to the bottom of a problem and their shift is ending in an hour they're probably already clocked out, if you know what I mean. But overall, this store follows the model that a million other businesses do: be nice to me and I'll be nice to you.
The best times I've found to go to Target are either in the morning, late afternoon, or early evening. This place is usually packed on weekends, after the typical 9-5ers get out of work, and, oddly enough, the hours after dinner (7pm, I'm sneering at you). If you avoid the crowds, you'll find this to be a pleasant place where you can take your time staring at the trending home decor, trying on cute t-shirts you know you don't need, and taking in the Target smells.
Oh, and get Cartwheel. Just do it. You can stack cartwheel coupons with manufacturer coupons and save quite a bit. You can probably save enough that the prices are on par with Big Blue What's His Name 1.7 miles...
Read moreSun Prairie Target appears like a beacon in the night, perched in a friendly pocket of Sun Prairie's Grand Ave retail complex, just down the road from Marcus Palace Cinema. Highly visible and accessible, just minutes off Hwy 151 & less than 8 min from Madison's East Towne shopping center. It extends your reach to what's readily available, if you don't want to pay/wait for shipping & still like a real world shopping experience. Being from Madison, I do go on excursions to the burbs: Middleton, Sun Prairie, Cottage Grove, Monona, rather frequently in sum total. When you just can't get what you need in Madison, it's nice to have other Target options for that low on stock, hard to get item. This time it was a fleece jogger outfit which is perfect for cycling on those cool morning/early evening rides when a chill is in the air. The pick up area was right after you enter main doors to your right, and in 30 seconds a nice sales associate came to get the vitals of what I'd ordered for pickup. 1 min later a gentleman arrived from the front end with my package with a printed label with my name, order number & item printed on it. They're perfect fit, exact color, style, and size to be found nowhere else within 40 miles of Madison. I'm totally pleased with Target and ALL their locations, and would be happy to go to the Sun Prairie store, if the need...
Read moreUnfortunately I was one of the many people accused of stealing, a pair of Kendra Scott earrings. They said they have evidence of a backing of an earring, I should mention I own several pairs of Kendra Scott earrings, necklaces, bracelets etc. I had an event where I used a pair of my earrings and got sick of wearing them so as one does I took them off and put them in my bag. A white male came up to me and began screaming at me.The cops were called, I should also mention I was with 4 of my friends the entire time. And they all said I would never steal. My mom came in since I am a minor, the white male was incompetently harassing us. He was very rude and didn’t even acknowledge I was having a panic attack. I had 3 adults with me my parents and my friends dad. I am now supposedly “banned” from sun prairie target for “stealing” a BACKING of an earring which was mine might I add when I tried to explain the misunderstanding, the worker constantly interrupted by the worker who did not let me speak . But shoutout to the Starbucks employees that were very kind to me and my friends. Overall I was disappointed, disgusted and traumatized by how I was treated. I really hope no one has to endure the type of harassment I experienced during this past weekend, I was just simply trying to enjoy a weekend...
