I'm going to start out by noting something I didn't see mentioned in any top reviews or the description of the restaurant and it caught us off guard the first time we went: the heavyhanded religious elements. When you first walk in, there are various christianity-related pamphlets and literature before you even get inside the restaurant. Then, inside, there is Christian music playing in the entire restaurant. I'm sure some people really like this and others like us are willing to ignore it to dine here occasionally, but I'm also sure others will find this to be a deal breaker, so it shocks me that this information isn't easy to find. Christian music is not really in keeping with an "old west" theme and nothing about the pizza ranch description or website is overtly religious. I have to assume that this is the choice of this franchise owner. I have never been to another pizza ranch location, so I can't be sure.
That aside, this is a fun place for family dining. Pricing is reasonable. It's $1 per year for kids, so it's $2 for a 2 year old to eat. Adults are about $15. Price includes a drink with refills.
There's an interesting spread of food to choose from. There's a handful of different types of pizza out at a time plus dessert pizzas, fried chicken and other southern foods like two types of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, breasticks, and a pretty good salad bar. Food is good but generally greasy (plan to have a nap after lunch). Drink are standard soft drinks, tea, and coffee (you'll need to request a coffee mug from staff). The soft serve vanilla ice cream is surprisingly good!
The arcade is very bright and stimulating with a decent little variety of games to play. Prizes are all pretty junky (throwaway plastic toys and candy) and the "tickets" are all handled on the card you put your "coins" onto which is convenient but lacking in old school charm.
Staff is very friendly. They're great about asking about clearing plates. We went for my 1 year old's birthday and two employees sang him happy birthday and brought a dessert pizza in a box for him. Food is refreshed pretty regularly.
It you don't mind the heavyhanded christian elements, this is a good place to go for a birthday or a long lunch,...
Read moreNew owners and management is definitely a bonus and much appreciated.
However, we visited this location recently on a Saturday an hour and 45 minutes before closing. We sat our drinks on a table and went to get our food. When we came back two ladies were vacuuming and moving tables and chairs around. I went to set my plate down on our table when one of the employees started pulling chairs away from our table and vacuuming under it.
Very annoyed, we picked up our drinks and plates and moved to the other side of the dining area to a booth.
Not long after, one of the same employees with the vacuum came over and started asking people to vacate their tables and booths so she could vacuum under them.
This is incredibly rude and obnoxious. Fortunately, she thought better of asking me to move as this would have caused us to move to a 3rd table for HER vacuuming convenience.
Instead, her and a co-worker vacuumed the tables around us, and took frequent breaks sitting down at empty tables and playing with their phones.
Eventually, they succeeded at emptying that whole side of the dining area and blocked it off with chairs and gave us disapproving looks. Also, at one point, one them began letting out exaggerated coughs repeatedly and then looking at us.
It was very clear we were in her way AGAIN.
I am disappointed as Pizza Ranch usually waits until close to start vacuuming. This behavior by staff was rude and intrusive.
I could have saved myself 43 bucks and just ate at home while I had the vacuum running next to my...

My wife and I live in Texas and we were flying up this last weekend to see family for the holidays and celebrate my son’s one year old birthday. Since it was a quick weekend, we decided to throw him a little birthday party and invite the family and some close friends. My mom booked the room in advance for 20 people or so. We had two couples who were not able to actually stay and eat but wanted to pop in and just say hi. THEY WERE NOT PLANNING ON EATING OR EVEN SITTING DOWN. Heck they didnt even stay for cake or opening presents.. but we were told very rudely by Janet and the “owner?” that it was Pizza Ranch policy that everyone has to pay, even if they weren’t going to stay. I told the “owner” the situation and she argued with me that it was policy. I told her we were never informed of this policy when booking with them. We were told that Pizza Ranch prefers everyone to do the buffet that is in our party because side orders are harder for them to manage with larger groups but nothing about everyone having to pay to even walk through the door. The “owner” told me that they dont sell food... they sell seats... ?? Well those seats weren’t going to be full nor will those seats be full ever again by anyone in my family. How rude!! Way to spoil a little family get together and a one year old’s birthday because of your rude employees...
