I normally come here almost every day since I live only about a block away . I had an hour of free time and this was my time to buy things I needed for the house . I planned on using two forms of payment . My credit card - and my debit card. I didn’t have much money at the time and needed to use two cards to make a purchase. It would hold me over until pay day and most places don’t mind .:. .- mind you I am a previous Walgreens employee and this has blown my mind , I remember when Walgreens was all about their customers . What happened?
When I was up at the counter , I started separating what I wanted on one card and what I wanted on the other , but the employee wanted all of it in the basket to help him sort what to ring up and what not too . I’m he started talking to me and we got caught up in a brief conversation . When I looked down everything was checked out . I asked if they could take a couple of things off . We needed $109 off . I would take out whitening strips which were about $60, and two electric toothbrushes at $20 each . Both him and the manager told me they couldn’t do it , and it would be entirely too much to do. I felt at a loss . Either I would have to leave the store , and say goodbye to my only free time and the hour I spent carefully choosing things we needed . Anyways , he calls for the manager to come up and I’m so nervous while they both laugh at me and make me feel like I’m doing a lot for asking to take 3 things off to split the payment . It was very belittling. I truly do not know how to feel after this experience . I come in here so often and spend so much money here , just for them to treat me as if I asked for them to break their back . All they had to do was take 3 things off the list and charge my other card. I felt like I HAD to buy those things .. out loud they both complained about having to put them away , having to scan things off , they said it would be ridiculous if I wanted that done . I felt so badly … So I purchased everything with the last of what I had on my debit and I walked out very unsatisfied and sad. I felt like they treated me .. a paying customer … as if I was a burden . And I spend so much money here . I hope others do not get this type of service .
Maybe they shouldn’t be working in customer service … servicing customers. .
I will continue to shop only because of the convenience . But I no longer want to spend copious amounts of money...
Read moreThis is the WORST walgreens in the area. The pharmacists are rude and don’t act like they care about patients whatsoever. I called recently to refill a standard prescription, and during the process of confirming my address (which they don’t do 70% of the time, OR ask for an ID for a regulated drug - Illegal much?) the woman who answered was awful. I have lived in the same place for going on two years, and she had the audacity to tell me I was giving her the wrong address. I gave her the current, and last two - nothing. She interrupted me when I was trying to ask if maybe it was typed wrong or something, and was transferred to a different line where I sat on hold for over 10 minutes. I heard the line start to be answered, and then back on hold. I gave up and called back later. The guy who answered when I told him my issue, immediately became defensive and told me, “Well this is the first time you’re speaking to me,” like I’m some kind of moron. In what world is it appropriate to talk to someone like that, when your staff is the incompetent one? Come to find out, my address WAS correct - he said it must have been a typing error - like the one I was going to suggest before being cut off. His tone immediately changed when he realized I was right, and refilled the prescription that night for me to pick up the next day. It is NOT hard to act like a decent human being and at the very minimum, have some customer service training. Doesn’t mean the customer is always right, but is it really that hard to double check your work and own up to a fault? I hate this place and I can not WAIT until I change insurance and can go to a...
Read moreI was not only made to wait 3 extra days for a script I was DUE TO PICK UP, but DIDN'T receive my normal "prescription ready for pick-up" text message NOR did I receive it through the application, which has become INCREASINGLY TERRIBLE over the past few YEARS! When I found out that my script was indeed COMPLETED(Although through NO HELP of the Walgreens APP (that NEVER WORKS!!) or the push text message alerts I am SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE, BUT I DON'T) I then went to pick up my prescription. My prescription was a months supply of a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. NOT ONLY DID THEY KEEP THE FILL DATE AS THE DAY I REQUESTED IT AND WAS DUE TO FILL IT(4/3/25) , BUT I HANDED OVER MY I.D., AND THE PHARMACY TECH DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO ASK MY ADDRESS, AND I'VE USED THIS PHARMACY FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 YEARS, THE ADDRESS ON MY DRIVERS LICENSE DOESN'T MATCH UP WITH MY CURRENT ADDRESS(in fact I haven't had my address updated since I turned 30, so it was inaccurate (unless scanned b/c it was updated w/the DOT, I just didn't feel it was necessary to pay for a new license, nor does the DOT, as long as a scan of your driver's license comes up with your current address!!!) They're required for ANY controlled substance to not only scan your driver's license, but ALSO to ASK FOR THE ADDRESS YOU LIVE AT! IT'S ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT SHE WOULD JUST HAND OVER MY HIGH DOSAGE ANXIETY MEDICATIONS WITHOUT DOUBLE CHECKING EVERYTHING!!! I'M ABSOLUTELY APPALLED, THERE WASN'T NO PROFESSIONALISM IN THIS OR PLENTY OF OTHER ENCOUNTERS WITH THIS...
