I like Kroger in general, but the Click List at this location is ridiculous. We usually do a pickup once a week and on average, 2-5 items are either out of stock or substituted. Last week we were waiting in the parking area for about 45 minutes before our items were brought out. I usually only see 1 girl trying to serve anywhere from 4-7 orders in that time slot. It seems horribly understaffed and the wait gets longer every visit.
Yesterday we went for our normal weekly pickup and there was 6 vehicles in pickup. One woman was standing outside her vehicle and audibly upset. We arrived at 6:15, she said she'd been there just before 6. The phones were down and another number was listed, which no one answers. We told the young woman who was juggling everyone's orders what our last name was and she said she'd get our order. Several cars pulled in and got their pick ups before us, even though they showed up after us. I called the substitute number several times before getting an answer and a manager who said he'd send someone up front with our order.
A different girl came out and my husband loaded the groceries in the trunk, but the order seemed very small. She didn't give us a receipt or paper with any substitutes. As we finished, the woman who had been there before us was still waiting and told the Click List girl to cancel her order and left. She'd been there for over an hour. We had been there for 45 minutes.
We decided to pull into a different spot and check our groceries. It seemed way too small for what we'd ordered and we were missing about half of what we expected. I got a text message at 7:12 to remind me that my order was waiting.
We went inside and spoke with a customer service manager and he was able to pull up our order. It hadn't been processed as being picked up. When the manager pulled up our order, it was $154. It should have been closer to $185. He voided it, rang everything out again, and it was $125. So even though we were missing a lot of groceries, we were still billed for stuff that wasn’t brought to us in the order.
While we were doing this, 2 people that we’d seen in the pickup area had also come in and were at the customer service counter with...
Read moreI go into this Kroger weekly, sometimes more than once. Tonight I went in at 6:30 and stood at the Customer Service counter for over 10 minutes waiting for the old, long haired gray hair woman with a pony tail to finish her smoke break before she could do her job of waiting on a customer with no apologies for my wait. At the self-checkout line, I opted to write a check which I do frequently. The total at the register, which I verified with one of the workers as she rang my coupons through, was $55.25. This worker was going off on a break and "Carol" took over transferring my order to her register to complete the check process. She informed me that my check was not enough to pay the bill for which my screen before transfer to the main register reflected and was verified by a worker prior to my writing the check. She said I owed $57.90. I explained that this has happened to me before where I come in, write a check based on the screen and am told that it is the incorrect amount and I owe more. The last time this happened 2 weeks ago, the error in price difference was due to the coupons NOT coming off. Carol looked at me as if I were lying, but entered a store discount to bring it down to the price verified by the other worker and reflected on my screen. She was very rude, handing me the receipt (Without a smile) and said nothing else. If I as the customer have to ring up my own groceries (Now that no-one in the store seems to want to work), it would be nice if when the Kroger employees actually have to help a customer, they did it with a smile. Kroger should be ashamed of some of the rude workers that...
Read moreI hate this store like poison. Never any actual cashiers. No one helps if the horrible self check out machines don’t work. Ever since the renovation this store has become useless to shop at. In addition to the constant huge lines for checkout it is guaranteed that they will be out of a least one staple item you are looking for. Even though it is the closest to me I will be driving by it to go to one of the Westerville store like Meijer since I’ll have to go there anyway to get the stuff Sunbury Kroger is out of. Worthless store, best to avoid.
Update as of Feb 2023 - This is hands down the worst grocery store in the area. Unfortunately it is also the closest to my house. They are always out of at least one thing you need, usually the most important one to a recipe. They recently no longer take my prescription coverage so I had to go back to CVS, another favorite store of mine. We bought some cold cuts from the deli but when we got home noticed that the labels on our chicken and ham were saying roast beef and we had been charged over $14 a pound. When my wife called whomever she spoke to was slightly apologetic but no offer of a refund was forthcoming. My very favorite part of this kroger is how they are constantly changing the closing time of the store without warning. I drove down tonight to get something and at 10:05 PM was tugging on a locked door. All of a sudden they are closing at 10 instead of 11. Thanks for wasting my...
