New China Express — Restaurant in Sunbury

The food portions were generous and the order was ready when promised. It was nice and hot also, but nothing was fantastic , mainly decent-good and one item was not expected at all (not in a good way either). We had several items- *Egg rolls- crispy and tasted ok. Better than many, but definitely not in the better range. *Crab Rangoon- big, crispy, and filled. Not too sweet, but also not just cream cheese. *Won ton soup- very flavorful, but smallish serving and had a lot of veggies (almost like an egg roll exploded in it). *Fried Rice- we had the combo and the side. Both were very plentiful. The pork was very nice in the combo. Wish they had egg and bean sprouts. *Chicken Lo Mein- I was told it was decent. Not dry or too soupy. *Almond Chicken- there was a lot of crispy fried white meat chicken that wasn't overcooked. The sauce was odd... It was a thickened soy sauces. Definitely my least favorite gravy/sauce I've had. *Honey Orange Chicken- lots of chicken in a nice orange sauce similar to Panda Express sauce. Chicken was a fried a bit too hard, but...

Just ordered from there and this is about the 4th time they have screwed up my order. I ask for extra chicken and pay $2 for it,yet they NEVER give the extra chicken,just extra rice. So i pay extra money for something i didnt get and for them to in turn argue with me on the phone about it. I dont understand why they cant fix there mistakes without complication,but it always ends up with the woman getting very rude and defensive. Ive taken the food right back in the door after pick up and shown her the problem just for her to say i didnt ask for extra,even though the receipt says otherwise. Im sticking with Wah-Yuen,they have been around for years,fix anything they may have missed(which is hardly EVER) and are so friendly each and everytime. ill pay the extra money for better food...

Be prepared to wait. We take out from here about twice a month. Food is good, average price for chinese chain restaurants. They can get overwhelmed during peak periods. Last two trips my order has been incorrect and has been about a 40 min wait for pickup. You know it's going to be trouble when you walk in and see the line of frustrated people. Agree with other reviews concerning personability of the young gentleman who at times runs the front of the house. There are better chinese restaurants within distance as far as food is concerned, but this is our local stop so will continue to frequent. It's a fine place, just be prepared that waits may be an issue during dinner rush and...
