This is an updated review from our visit to this store on 6/26 & 6/27/24. Three years ago the service was great and the employees were great and helpful. This visit was due to cell phone issues with phones showing sos mode, failed text and calls. Many people in our community having same problems. Called Verizon and auto system said no problem in your area? Visited the store, spoke with a gentleman who took my husbands phone said let’s check it out. He said they are an independent retailer and Verizon does not communicate with them as to these sort of issues. All he kept wanting to do was sell us new phones which we didn’t want or add services. Very high pressure store. We were adamant we didn’t want new phones or change our plan. Needless to say, our plan was changed on one of our phones. Took us 1 1/2 hours on phone with someone from Tech Sipport got our original plan back but still unable to determine WHY our phones were having issues showing no problems in our area. Read moreExtremely poor experience. I decided to come here because I was tired of the poor experience with Derek in mount Gilead. Now he’s running this store and nothing has changed. His reps did not explain plans correctly. Explained we would save money changing, and we ended up losing promotional credits we weee receiving before hand. We were told if we purchased new phones and traded in our existing, our device balance would be erased and we would recieve promotional credits with the new plan. We purchased 2 new phones after this explanation. Months later, no promotions. I met Derek after all this and all he said was sorry we explained it wrong. We called corporate together and they said any changes we would make to revert those would result in a bill increase. In total my bill almost doubled when it was supposed to decreased. The best part is when he comes out and says I think you’ll like this… and offers me a one time $100 credit. Laughable. What a joke. 7 years with...
Read more6 out of 5 stars! My husband and I bought new phones yesterday....which is usually a bit of a dreaded task! However, in this case, it was such a pleasurable experience because we were given the full, kind, warm and very knowledgeable attention of the store's Manager, Lee Bullard. Nothing was too much trouble for this wonderful man. This exemplary level of customer service is very rare to find in our troubled world today. I hope "the powers that be" at Verizon know what a diamond they have in their employ. So, whether you are a technical wiz looking for the latest 'n' greatest gadget which does everything but make the tea, or a customer like me, just needing a phone to make calls, send texts and take a few photos here and there, I cannot recommend this store highly enough.
