THIS IS ABOUT YOUR WORKER VIRGINIA I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and frustration regarding the appalling conduct of one of your employees, Virginia, during a recent visit to your store. My experience began with Virginia's inappropriate decision to ring me up for a donation without seeking my consent. This lack of consideration for my preferences was already concerning, but what followed was even more distressing. Upon leaving the store, the next day I was contacted by Mr. Greg, the manager, (He gave us $10 store credit when scanner was returned) who informed me that Virginia had mistakenly left a scanner in my bag. I was shocked to learn this, as I had no knowledge of the scanner being placed there. However, what truly astounded me was when I went to return the scanner, the girl up front said “oh are you the ones that stole the scanner?” Instead of acknowledging the error and offering assistance, Virginia, presumably a member of your staff, accused me and my companions of theft. Not only did she insinuate that we had stolen the scanner, but she also spread these baseless accusations to her coworkers. This incident was not only embarrassing but deeply concerning. As a loyal customer of Ollie’s, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially in the face of such unwarranted accusations. Virginia’s behavior not only tarnished my shopping experience but also reflects poorly on the professionalism and integrity of your establishment. In the future, I hope that Ollie’s will take appropriate measures to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and with the respect they deserve. Instances of baseless accusations and unprofessional conduct, such as that exhibited by Virginia, should not be tolerated in any customer-facing role. I sincerely hope that my feedback will prompt a thorough review of your customer service practices and lead to improvements that prevent similar incidents from occurring...
Read moreWell...we love Ollie's...we really do BUT there is a serious problem with their staffing situation! First, not enough humans to get all the work done...2nd, those humans that do show up and work are Stressed out and Frustrated.
Had a cashier who was off the clock, check guests out. Had another cashier who just got there, get on the register, check out two people then walked away with 6 customers in line.
My mom found a vacuum she could manage...however, we could not find it in a box...we asked a human. They didn't have any in stocks. WE asked to buy floor model, they said, "no, it's missing parts".
Next day, we call Ollie's SURFSIDE...inquire about aforementioned vacuum...after transferring the call twice a human finally asks what brand was it and says I'll check....oh yes ma'am we have it...and my mom's response...HOLD ONE FOR ME...they respond...oh we don't do that, but we have plenty.
We drive an hour plus...get there...THEY DON'T HAVE IT...THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IF IT'S COMING...BUT CHECK BACK EVERY DAY, just in case.
I think we can find it via the manufacturer's website quicker and probably cheaper.
So disappointed 😞 😔 😪 😕 😑 😒
My poor momma had her heart set on that new vacuum to help keep up with...
Read moreThere are some things you're not buying at a thrift store and that was what was on our list. We were headed to Walmart when I thought I would give Ollie's a chance first.
Ollie's is not quite Walmart and isn't quite a thrift shop. Everything here is brand new (or at least, not pre-owned) and while they do have some core items, much of the store is based on what they can purchase at volume for all their stores.
Today, it was pillows for the RV and we not only found them, we had a choice for firmness. Mrs. K. picked out two she liked and then we found the pillowcases. It's hard to say no when two of them at $2.99. Definitely cheaper than Walmart! I'm so glad we stopped in here.
A bit of a queue at the registers (busy for a Saturday afternoon!) but the store is mostly tidy just very...
