Consign At 5th — Local services in Surfside Beach

It is never my habit to write reviews, however with an experience I had today I felt compelled to voice my frustrated with Consign @ 5th. Early this week she agreed to accept three furniture pieces from me based on looking at pictures online. From that vernal agreement I drove three hours this morning to meet her at 10:30. When I called to inform her that I had arrived at the house she informed me that she and her husband discussed this furniture earlier in the week and decided they did not want to take the furniture based on the color. Of course she never called to inform me of their conversation. I had already terminated conversations with two other consigners early in the week based in the fact that I was meeting her today. I also timed the delivery of new furniture around her timeframe. P I have never had a situation like this to happen to be and am completely frustrated with her customer service. I would never recommend consigning with this business. There are several consignment shops that were very kind to me in dealing with this situation. Lots of nice resale items- prices seem fair on most items. Sales staff did not speak to me while I was in the store today. Had several opportunities but were too busy whispering about and discussing politics. They were also heard discussing the greatness of Trump and the “horribleness” of Pelosi. They were speaking to two buyers that were on the same page. I don’t like to mix my politics with shopping so I left.
