I was considering not writing a review of this store at all given that mistakes are human, but I'm currently in the middle of building my TV stand that I ordered and the quality of the furniture of this store is simply unforgivable. To put this in context, I'm no stranger to building my own furniture from premade "kits." I've ordered a fair number of desks, chairs, bookcases, etc. that I have assembled. This is BY FAR the worst piece of furniture I have ever assembled. But first, I want to outline my experience with the store itself. My in-store experience was fine. The floor workers were polite and helpful, and I have nothing bad to say about them. However, when ordering, I was made aware that the assembly option was not available for certain pieces of furniture. Okay, no issue, I can do it myself, whatever. First, I had barstools delivered, which were the only pieces for which assembly was available. Come to find out, there was no assembly required at all for these. Whatever, they were delivered in a timely manner, fine. Then I waited to hear word on when my other pieces of furniture, the TV stand and end tables, would be delivered. And I waited... and waited... and waited. No communication. After roughly a month of waiting for any word on my furniture, I decided to get in contact with the company through their customer help line. This was a mistake. I was put through a loop of robotic customer service agents, given no help whatsoever, and left with no new information. At this point, I reached out to the store I ordered the furniture from. I found out that due to missing contact and address information, the furniture was unable to be delivered to me, and apparently R and F and FedEx had been playing the blame game for weeks, meanwhile my furniture was returned to the warehouse it came from, and nobody thought it might be reasonable to reach out to me to clarify the issue, or to at least loop me in on the problem. Let me repeat: my furniture was delayed BY A MONTH, and there was ZERO attempt to contact me to resolve the issue. Strange, given that during the first delivery, the barstools, the company was easily able to reach out to me to set a date for the delivery and confirm address information. Anyway, the TV stand was eventually delivered (roughly 2 MONTHS after the original expected date), and I guess the end tables just ended up getting lost somewhere, because the best thing they could offer in that regard was a refund, which I gladly took over ever ordering from this sorry establishment again. Now to the process of building the furniture itself. As I previously stated, I'm no stranger to assembling my own furniture. I actually find some joy in it sometimes. This is not one of those times. Normally, when assembling furniture, it's not unusual to have a few small bits of styrofoam stuck to the pieces, but nothing too bad to brush off. This furniture was FILTHY. Every single piece was absolutely covered in a layer of sawdust, small bits of paper, and just regular dust in addition to the normal bits of styrofoam. The small pieces came all in the same plastic pouch, meaning nothing was organized, and I had to hunt through the whole pouch for the small bits. In addition, there are certain pieces that resist being put together so much that I'm concerned that they were not made right in the first place. Holes feel too shallow for their respective screws, dowels and cam screws resist fitting neatly into their holes without seemingly excessive force, and overall, the kit just feels cheap. This is below the grade of furniture I've bought from cheap office furniture stores, or even mass-produced knockoff furniture from Amazon, much less a full fledged, dedicated furniture store with physical locations! My entire experience with this store after making my payment has been nothing short of abysmal, and I will never do myself the disservice of ordering anything from here again, and I plan to let everyone I know to do the same. This store is shameful, and I recommend avoiding it...
Read moreThe saddest part about what youâre going to read is that IT WAS AVOIDABLE. This has been the absolute worst experience. The initial visit was nice, even the delivery guys were okay ( except for the $2,000 bed they cracked while installing it). But sales staff and management need review, thatâs putting it lightly. First and foremost, we interacted with two people, they will be named, and no disrespect towards the other ladies/gentleman earning an honest wage at this location. But The fact that Iâm still sitting here still not able to access the financing provided because the salesman put the wrong name on the application is ridiculous. I handed you three forms of ID, Jeff, and you were lazy, chatting up my husband who let his guard down because I was finally happy after visiting 5 stores. I asked on 3 separate occasions before delivery for my name to be updated and it wasnât after being told âokayâ and âit wonât be an issueâ. Clearly it is. We were told both products - my husband bought one, I bought the other - were to be delivered the same day, as we requested and paid for. I received a call for the orders and got guarantee for both orders. You would think if there was an issue we would get a call but our telephones were silent. The empty promises unraveled when our headboard was delivered without a mattress. We will add to this equation my husband being charged twice for initial cost from his finance company when we tried to get the issue resolved in store and being told multiple times that his agreement was incomplete due to signature error, when we left the store initially with a final sales receipt and confirmation from everyone involved which wouldnât have happened without a signature. Telling us that you donât use a finance product frequently as an excuse for you and your managers incompetence is ridiculous, Jeffrey. Kelcey looked very worried when she was reviewing our sale. We watched the blood drain from her face as she reviewed our transaction and realized we were being charged twice. Didnât do a thing about it and was âour problem to handleâ. Thanks to the lovely warehouse Manager Kevin who made sure our missed order was delivered After we went without a bed for 24 hours.
My husband has bought furniture from this company multiple times. How can you expect me to do anything further when I canât even begin to pay what I purchased? This isnât a cry for compensation. Weâll be returning the $4,000 worth of product Jeffrey coerced us into, we were approved at 4/5 of the other stores for even more than they offered. The saddest part of the entire situation is the sheer fact my husband has been in sales for 10 years, and actively works with the financing products we opted to use, and called this every step of the way. Offering us a $100 rebate is a small cry to the horrific situation that is STILL DRAGGING ON for 3 weeks.
HOW DID THIS GO WRONG? We were the only people in the store that day. Now we know why. Iâm waiting to hear from you, Jeff. And donât call my husbands phone like you tend to do. Iâm the one thatâs been reaching out, you have both of...
Read moreWe were pleased with the selection and quality of the furniture at Raymour & Flanigan on our first visit. The sales people were friendly and professional. We were looking for an entertainment center with a fireplace insert. The one we really liked was not available to order (one manager said it was and another said it wasn't) so they only had the floor model. The floor model was in perfect condition and offered to us at a great discount. The manager assured us that they would plastic wrap the entire piece to ensure it remained in perfect condition. They also recommended a third party delivery service, which "they use all the time" and multiple employees in the store recommended. This delivery person was a total fiasco, so do not follow Raymour & Flanigan suggestions (but this will be a different review). Upon receiving our item there were scratches and gouges on the top due to the Raymour & Flanigan's employees plastic wrapping the angled shelf directly on top of the console with no protection/padding between. This is just sloppy and laziness. We contacted our sales person the next day who was very responsive and stated, "this is not how we do business" and said she would send a ticket to the top and get back to us. We have heard nothing since the complaint was filed. Yes, we know floor models are "as is" but when negligence on the sellers part causes the damage after the sale, there should be some follow up. While the furniture is nice and reasonably priced, I would be very hesitant to recommend purchasing from Raymour and Flanigan as you may not receive what you paid for...
