One star because you have to..what to say. The hotel concierge sent us here and I'm beginning to question his abilities to make recommendations. For as busy as the place looked from the parking lot, there wasnt much of a hullabaloo inside. Still, the bar tenders malingered around the bar area, pathetically, tending to patrons haphazardly. We were approached by our female bartender early on but saw little of her after that. After requesting a food menu, she returned almost 12 minutes later and took our simple order of mozzarella sticks, soup, wings and a burger. Fast forward 25 minutes and a sad looking plate of mozzarella sticks wandered out of the kitchen. The explanation from the bartender went as follows--"i dont know what happened, but here you go." Not so much of an apology as it was an admission of failure. Ten minutes later our entrees found our way to the bar, though the food was nothing to write home about. All the while, I'm sitting there with an empty beer glass in front of me which went unfilled for 18 minutes. Every bartender wandered by as if it didnt exist. I then watched as one of the Male bartenders went "off duty" and took a seat as a patron at the far end of the bar. The service he received was the type I had been longing for all night--attentive, thorough, courteous. Our bartender seemed surprised when we asked for the check. We slithered out of there, disappointed and thirsty with a bellyful of...

My family and I arrived for dinner around 5:45pm 4/12/2022, there were three (3) of us but the host only gave us Two (2) menu's (I have no idea what that was about). Instantly I felt uncomfortable and no longer wanted too eat from this establishment. My wife, daughter and myself, took our seat and watched how a group that came in after us got served, while we waited in the dark lit corner. We watched as several waitresses bypassed us. I was thinking maybe because we were the darkest group in the establishment, maybe they'll get to us sooner than later. Exactly 20 minute's went by, we gathered our belongings to leave, and as we did a waitress came over and said, I'll be right with you. She said the other waitress didn't see you all sitting over there. I replied, no thank you we are leaving. At that point she became so interested in taking our order...... I being from out of town and being of pure patience, will not recommend this establishment to any person of color as myself. I'm not sure if that was 100% the reason, but definitely played a small part. As my wife, daughter and myself sat in the car preparing to pull off, we all reached the same conclusion. Eating at Capitol Diner was a far more better experience. Absolute two (2)...
Read moreFirst time going… When we walked in, there was no one to greet us, and there was a very thick smoke smell from the lounge side. The dining side was much better, fresher smelling. The waitress was helpful, but was so soft-spoken I only heard 1/2 of what she said. When mentioning we were first-timers, of course she mentioned the most pricey dishes on “recommendation”. Then we opened the menus… Could not BELIEVE the prices!! For a “pasta, steak, seafood” place according to the marquee, had the worst spaghetti sauce ever. The “garlic” bread had no garlic. The Giro “plate” literally had about 8 potato chips, and anytime we asked for something (once she would come back) our server acted as though we were causing an annoyance. When my salad came incorrect (food allergies) she acted as if I had ordered it wrong, and even showed where she actually wrote the wrong substitutions! And forget having your drinks refilled. And we were her ONLY table at 4:30pm. That said…. The ribs were fantastic, the Ranch dressing was very nice. The cob salad was well-portioned, and the dessert tray looked good (not allergy friendly…) All in all, however, would not be quick to go back-if only for price alone. If I do go back, I’ll get the ribs (at a steak, pasta, and...
