First time eating here. My husband was in the mood for Prime Rib. Their reviews seemed decent, so we gave this place a try. There is a dining room or bar area to eat at. We ate in the dining room, clean but outdated. Appetizers: Chicken wings & calamari. Calamari was delicious, it was fresh not frozen! Wings were cooked well but I didn't like my sauce choice. The teriyaki sauce was too salty for us. Meal: To quote my husband "The Prime Rib was delicious & cooked to perfection". I had the Surf & Turf (Filet Mignon 8oz & Lobster Tail). Their Market Price was $64, which I thought was expensive. Thought I still ordered it because that's what I wanted. The steak was delicious but Lobster was over cooked (Tough, chewy & dry). The waitress had another one made no questions asked. Then also gave us both free desserts without us asking for anything! Second Lobster was better, edges were dry & crispy. I think they might broil or oven finish the Lobster. Sides: Homemade Loaded M. Potatoes, Fresh Steamed Green Beans were very good. The fresh steamed broccoli was too al dented for us. Desserts: (All fresh) Caramel Apple Pie with ice cream & Chocolate Mousse Cup both desserts were delicious. Our adult drinks were mixed well. We will definitely return to eat here again.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here. Very excellent service. Especially for as busy as it was. This was a Wednesday and it was pretty full in here. The food is top-notch. They bring you a basket of buns that are warm with whip butter. As an appetizer, I ordered mini crabcakes. I’m pretty fussy about my crabcakes. And these were made extremely well with large clumps of crab. And they came with. I would call it a sweet chili sauce. With a small salad between in the middle. It had four of the crabcakes around the little salad. from my main course, I ordered the seared scallops they came with. I would call it a cauliflower mash that was kind of chunky. Very very good! The scallops were cooked to perfection! And also came with a side of broccoli. I was extremely happy with the service. The waitress was very attentive to your needs, and made sure that you had your beverages full. they were prompt on delivering the food and they were prompt on carrying away your dirty dishes. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. My associate that was visiting me had dinner had the filet mignon, 8 ounce and an order of shrimp. He was very happy with his fillet, and it was cooked to his liking.

We came here for dinner on a Tuesday in February. I have been here a bunch of times before because it’s a local place for me. This time when we got here the parking lot was pretty full - not sure if they do a happy hour or what but it was surely the place to be on a Tuesday night. We were seated immediately. All the bar seats were taken. Our server was with us shortly after being seated and got our drink order and was back a couple times for our meal selections - there was so much to choose from and I was being indecisive. She was hustling and was still friendly and attentive. We ordered pasta meals - not my normal choice but it sounded good. Both pastas were very good and there was a lot to take home as leftovers. The atmosphere here is somewhat like a cross between a family restaurant and a sports bar depending on the day/time. It was lively and energetic this night. We often come for lunch on the weekend and sit at the bar. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive. The service here has been consistent regardless if sitting in the dining area or at the bar and the food is great. That’s why I like Gilligans restaurants.

One star because you have to..what to say. The hotel concierge sent us here and I'm beginning to question his abilities to make recommendations. For as busy as the place looked from the parking lot, there wasnt much of a hullabaloo inside. Still, the bar tenders malingered around the bar area, pathetically, tending to patrons haphazardly. We were approached by our female bartender early on but saw little of her after that. After requesting a food menu, she returned almost 12 minutes later and took our simple order of mozzarella sticks, soup, wings and a burger. Fast forward 25 minutes and a sad looking plate of mozzarella sticks wandered out of the kitchen. The explanation from the bartender went as follows--"i dont know what happened, but here you go." Not so much of an apology as it was an admission of failure. Ten minutes later our entrees found our way to the bar, though the food was nothing to write home about. All the while, I'm sitting there with an empty beer glass in front of me which went unfilled for 18 minutes. Every bartender wandered by as if it didnt exist. I then watched as one of the Male bartenders went "off duty" and took a seat as a patron at the far end of the bar. The service he received was the type I had been longing for all night--attentive, thorough, courteous. Our bartender seemed surprised when we asked for the check. We slithered out of there, disappointed and thirsty with a bellyful of...

If I could not give this place a star as a rating, I definitely would.

My family and I arrived for dinner around 5:45pm 4/12/2022, there were three (3) of us but the host only gave us Two (2) menu's (I have no idea what that was about). Instantly I felt uncomfortable and no longer wanted too eat from this establishment. My wife, daughter and myself, took our seat and watched how a group that came in after us got served, while we waited in the dark lit corner. We watched as several waitresses bypassed us. I was thinking maybe because we were the darkest group in the establishment, maybe they'll get to us sooner than later. Exactly 20 minute's went by, we gathered our belongings to leave, and as we did a waitress came over and said, I'll be right with you. She said the other waitress didn't see you all sitting over there. I replied, no thank you we are leaving. At that point she became so interested in taking our order...... I being from out of town and being of pure patience, will not recommend this establishment to any person of color as myself. I'm not sure if that was 100% the reason, but definitely played a small part. As my wife, daughter and myself sat in the car preparing to pull off, we all reached the same conclusion. Eating at Capitol Diner was a far more better experience. Absolute two (2)...

First time going… When we walked in, there was no one to greet us, and there was a very thick smoke smell from the lounge side. The dining side was much better, fresher smelling. The waitress was helpful, but was so soft-spoken I only heard 1/2 of what she said. When mentioning we were first-timers, of course she mentioned the most pricey dishes on “recommendation”. Then we opened the menus… Could not BELIEVE the prices!! For a “pasta, steak, seafood” place according to the marquee, had the worst spaghetti sauce ever. The “garlic” bread had no garlic. The Giro “plate” literally had about 8 potato chips, and anytime we asked for something (once she would come back) our server acted as though we were causing an annoyance. When my salad came incorrect (food allergies) she acted as if I had ordered it wrong, and even showed where she actually wrote the wrong substitutions! And forget having your drinks refilled. And we were her ONLY table at 4:30pm. That said…. The ribs were fantastic, the Ranch dressing was very nice. The cob salad was well-portioned, and the dessert tray looked good (not allergy friendly…) All in all, however, would not be quick to go back-if only for price alone. If I do go back, I’ll get the ribs (at a steak, pasta, and...
