Just rejoined Costco after a very long absence. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with the store. Got some good deals on seafood and produce on this trip. And we'll need to get moving right away on this 3 lbs. of peeled garlic! Update: I've been a member for a couple of years now. Costco is now my go-to store for a lot of staple food products. They have great deals on most items. A lot of the non-food products often come and go... If you see something you might like, you'd better buy it quick. My enthusiasm for produce has mellowed. I've bought several bags of green beans and they've been not good. I cooked the entire bag i got yesterday, and some came out looking and others in the same bag are obviously older.

Desert Valley Dates claim to be “premium pitted organic dates” (deglet noor). This is completely false. As a restaurant owner, this very very frustrating that after buying 12 bags with the expectation that they were all pitted. This cost my business in labor hours because we have to cut each date individually to get the pitts out which is an increase in unexpected labor hours, due to this false advertising. The pieces of pitts are firmly in the date so each individual date has to be inspected. Unless Costco goes back to the old brand, which was flawless, we won’t be buying dates from Costco again. See the pics. What is on the cutting board was from one bag of pitted dates. Thank goodness that we are on our last bag.

This location is terrible and has only gotten increasingly worse the past few years. The selection is horrible-literally an entire row in the cold food yesterday was only stocked with two different items. They carry less and less variety, only to stock massive quantities of just a few products. I’m not buying produce here anymore after repeatedly getting spoiled pineapples, apples, berries-get home and cut into them and they are past their prime. They have also raised prices significantly on some items that are not consistent with market changes and other retailers. I’m not sure what’s going on but this is my closest club and I’m seriously considering dropping my membership because this store is consistently awful.

Horrible experience all around. My mom Spent close to a $1000 on a piece of furniture that she asked me to pick up for her with my truck with her. Previously the day before my dad was in there and wanted the couch but didnt have a truck so he talked to a manager on what to do. The manager said come in here tomorrow bring the piece of paper to the front counter and they'll bring it to the front for you and check you out. So that exactly what my mom did. The red headed guy behind the customer service desk said go back there and they'll send someone to help you. She sat there for a half hour no help. We went back up there and the same guy said go get a cart and then he sent two people to finally help. They were nice. So we push the couch to the front desk to check out like we were told the day before. Same red headed guy tells us we would have to go push it through the line. My mom tried to pay for it there and he said this returns not check out. I'm pretty sure it's also customer service. I told him we were told by the manager that we would be helped up here the day before. And we did what the manager told us to do. Then I asked for a manager and so he says to the people at the door dont let us out like we were thieves and the guy was waving his arms like he was going to block us from getting out. My mom had a money envelope in her hands with a thousand dollars in it and told the guy she just wanted to pay for it and leave. The guy argue with my mom over a big ticket item. The READ HEADED GUY WAS FLAT OUT RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO A ELDER! At this point two employees walked up to my wife and told us to come with them that they would help. So I got my mom away from that disrespectful red head and sure enough those 2 employees checked us out at the front like we were told previously and even helped load it up. I thanked the one guy for helping load the couch (Rocky A+ employee). I would like to thank them two employees for casually defusing a bad shopping experience and actually treating us like a customer...

COULDNT BUY YHE CHICKEN, DROVR AWAY W UNPAID TIRE...( lol, plz read.) ( Pizza at food Court is pretty awesome too especially for $9.99 price!!!)

The tire center an staff has provided the best service by far, ever received by ANY tire group!!! I mean, these guys are TOO NOTCH!!! Wife took it in to review 1 tire constantly losing air PSI daily now.

Tire staff made sure we were safe and road ready, and replaced it under warranty at 50% cost to me, not bad at all. Here was the dilemma...

Wife learned at checkout, our exec membership expired few days prior. Totally unaware, not prepared for exec fee in addition, new young mgr declined purchase of case water, rotisserie chicken, counter cleaner picked up while waiting tire review. Mgr just wasn't gonna have it, not today.

Banks closed@5, I had ATM card, ok, whatever, that's never happened in past when learned expired, just did over ride w temp pass... Paying exec fee next visit. But to refuse purchases due to 3 day expired exec membership?!? Thats NEVER happened before in all our year's w costco. Chalk it up to YOUNG, but not wisest managerial decision. Which ain't gonna lie, rubbed the Mrs wrong for lack of customer service, expect email to be generated vibe...

She asked tire guys, did she need to bring it back tomorrow for new tire, when she renews exec membership, shops for same declined items (insert her eyeroll)...

They simply said "Just return next day for 50% tire payment per under warranty, that she couldn't be driving w a tear in sidewall, it's dangerous!"(she would tho) Told her, "ALREADY INSTALLED, you're SAFE & ready to roll!!!" She was relieved an impressed!!! Thanks guys!!! Much appreciated!!!

She said while I wasn't aloud to buy the chicken or water she confidently drove away w an unpaid Costco tire instead...like a boss!

Next day paid everything paid. Neve called on young Mgr only cuz tire guys went above an beyond any expectations! Lucky her...

(Never sent that bad apple at check out again so maybe she made her bed w...

A cashier working self-checkout today, name starts with J, was very rude to me today. I scanned all my groceries and then proceeded to scan two gift cards (I’ve done this before no issues) and was prompted to wait for a worker. He came over and immediately said something along the lines of “you can’t scan these here, you need to go to a register” and then told me to finish up my transaction. I paid, then he immediately walked away and was like “follow me” as if I didn’t have my groceries sitting on the platform needing to be put back in my cart? I put my stuff away and proceeded to go find him as he was way out of sight at this point. I spotted him eventually and slowly made my way over, took a while because it was absolutely packed with other customers. He screamed “M’AAM” and I had to gesture it was going to take me a second to make my way over. I get there, he proceeds to scan the gift cards then again tries to lecture me about how gift cards can’t be scanned at self checkout. I replied and said, “I’ve done it before, didn’t know I couldn’t anymore my bad.” He immediately, in a rude and demeaning tone snapped back “No you haven’t.” I’m annoyed at this point, so I’m like “I have actually.” He again tried to argue that I hadn’t. I definitely have. I told him I have before other times, and that I’ll find proof, he then tried to look around for support from his other coworker— no one was in sight this was embarrassing for him lol— and was like yeah whatever.

I don’t want to go to a Costco where workers are rude for no reason? Or try to start a random argument over something so stupid. I know Costco is a great employer, I would hope they’d hire workers who have good customer service skills and aren’t rude and demeaning to customers. I’ve worked in customer service, as annoying as customers can be, you need to be professional and deal with your negative feelings later. Also, I literally admitted to not knowing and stated I’ve done it in the past? Where was the...
