The legendary lazy boy warranty, is a thing of the past. The now "one year" warranty is worth spit. The new recliner my son and wife bought for me last Christmas is losing its finishing day by day. Where its supposed to be covered for one year without the extra lifetime warranty you must purchase. Their warranty department is giving my wife nothing but a huge run around. The claims representative Patti Downey-Ward was the first person she dealt with at the beginning of September. Then after three weeks they said they are revamping their system and we would have to start over???? Well ironically my wife does warranty claims for an extremely large mattress company and knows the claims business like the back of her hand. Their claims department (Lazy boy) then switched her claim representative to an Antoinette? she was supposed to start a service ticket but never did on October 1, as of today there is no service ticket? Then a new representative told my wife that to send email to an address that doesn't exist? This is the absolute worst customer service we've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I've owned many lazy boy furniture pieces and have always been more then satisfied with the quality of their products. Though in this case I couldn't be more upset at the way they would treat a long term customer relationship such as mine. If this problem is not dealt with soon, I will be writing more reviews on other sites. Like I said my wife does warranty claims for a larg mattress company and this is not how these things are ever handled. I spent two days with the sales rep, specifying which items I wanted. I decided to piece together a sectional, a loveseat, and matching power recliner. My bill was over $10,000. Cloth only no leather, no power except recliner. James lineup The order took months to fulfill. My sectional came with the wrong pieces, which resulted in another month wait for those pieces. (Lazy boy did not charge me for the missing pieces which would have cost more) The furniture is low quality. It creaks, wobbles, and feels as if it will not last long. They pop with spring noises when opening and closing. (We have non electric everything except power recliner). We paid for fabric protection, which was supposed to be easy clean, but water just soaks right in. You know when you use the arm of a couch to reposition yourself after sitting for a while? That literally distorts the couch as itās going to break. Our power recliner broke after 3 months light use. The motherboard literally fell apart. Extended fabric protection is a joke, must fill out stuff online canāt call. I waited 15 minutes on hold with service center until I opted for a call back āwithin 24 hoursā. They called and took my information. Then said a service rep would call me back. No call back after 24 hours. Not sure when they will. No idea how long it will take to repair.
For 10k, cloth, powerless, I feel bamboozled. I thought the furniture quality would have been better. I did sit in store, and I have to say I didnāt notice these things there. Lazy boy, are floor models built differently?

This was my first time Iāve purchased from this company.... I have to say this is the easiest furniture transactions Iāve ever made. You will not be disappointed if you decide to purchase from this store. I went into buy a entertainment/TV Stand and instead ended up with a new sofa, chair, coffee table and 2 end tables. I know Iāll do some research in the La-Z-Boy Catalogs and find the entertainment/TV stand I want and will return to make that in store purchase. My sales associate Catherine was very accommodating and knowledgeable. She was extremely helpful in making sure all my questions were answered and made sure my order was exactly what I wanted. She was professional, pleasant and understanding. She was very patient and never seemed hurried or inconvenienced. I wish all sales associates had her style and finesse. I really feel she went out of her way to fulfill my order and never had me feeling uncomfortable or sale pressured.
