This restaurant makes the best Cambodian food, likewise with Chinese, since the two countries share similar dishes. The shared food dishes are stir-fried noodles, fried rice, stir-fried broccoli with beef, and so on.
My family and I usually go for the deep-fried catfish with tamarind sauce. For this dish, you need to order 20+ minutes ahead so the cooks can fry the fish and prepare vegetables for you. The mango salad also comes with the order. The fish is crispy, and the two sauces/salads (tamarind and mango salad) are delicious. Then there's a sweet and sour soup, plus the salted fish pan-fried with eggs is also good with steamed rice.
The servers are pleasant, and they speak both Cambodian and English. You can try speaking in Chinese, and they probably understand and speak as well since it's a Cambodian/ Chinese Restaurant.
Dishes I recommend, and you can try beef stew or pork stew to go with French bread or steamed rice.
Note: The catfish price is $29.00 for each, and it's a medium size catfish. If you order two, it is double that amount. It used to be...
Read moreCame all the way from Everett with my family to try this Cambodian spot out, and am so glad we did! You can do takeout/fast food to-go, or family style and dine in, which is what we opted for. Be sure to look thru the menu on the counter, where there’s more dishes than what’s displayed above the counter.
We got their beef skewers, beef loc lac, sour soup, prahok, chow fun, fried catfish, fish omelet, bahn xiao, and a bunch more Cambodian dishes that were ALL fantastic! As an Cambodian-American who can’t cook Cambodian food for the life of me, I love being able to go to a Khmer restaurant and enjoy my childhood home cooked dishes… without having to go home and bug my mom lol. The service here was great, the restaurant was clean and organized, and prices reasonable!
I definitely will be coming back to try more yummy dishes from here! There’s not a ton of Cambodian restaurants in the PNW so I hope this one has lots of support and success and sticks around! Try a new dish and check this place out, you...
Read moreSo I was really excited when I heard a Khmer Restaurant was back in Tacoma. This particular place, has a good amount of dining space.
➡️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝- portion size was really good for the price. They had variety of Chinese Food, but not much of Khmer food (at the time we went).
My husband ordered the Kaw. He said it was really bland, no flavoring. The meat tasted old. Portion size was generous. I ordered the Lok Lak, presentation was nice, but the meat was really rough for me, thick slices of Meat, and no flavoring in the meat. Portion size was generous. We ordered Chinese Fried Rice and Chow Mein Noodles for the kids. It was very greasy for us, and just very bland in both.
➡️ 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 The Owners/Staff seem and are very nice. The Food portion was very good I would of liked a lot more of the authentic flavoring in the dishes we ordered and we didn't get any of that. We hope they read these reviews and just grow with it. We're willing to give this place a try again...
