I've been meaning to write this review for about a month. Unlike most things, it hasn't slipped my mind completely, because my experience at let it snow was so earth shattering-in the best way!!! absolutely phenomenal!!! I ordered the tie-dye ( thai dye?) shaved ice, And I am not exaggerating when I say it is the best thing i've ordered, in several years-PERIOD! Across all genres and categories of cuisine! I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the desert- And having lived overseas in Asia for several years, And having visited every hawaiian island at least once, I like to think of myself as a educated connoisseur! The texture of the shaved ice was spot on - exactly what it's meant to be! Hawaiian shaved ice. It's nothing like it's a strange cousin. The snow cone and if you've never had a chance to experience it. This location would be a great place to do so because they nail it on the head! The ice flakes were properly thin- Eating it gives you the illusion that you're eating something Much more rich and decadent than frozen water. In fact, I suspect that he actually made the ice from frozen Thai iced tea. But I didn't watch him assemble my treat, so I can't say for sure. And even if I had ordered another flavor where the ice was Simply frozen water, im positive a similar effect would have been achieved, due to the perfect consistency of the ice itself. The friuty pebbles , Mochi and drizzle of sweet condensed milk Paired harmoniously with the flavor of the thai iced tea. The dish was very playful and imaginative but actually worked, rather than just being quirky. I was so impressed. I don't live near this place at all, any more. But I will definitely go out of my way to stop here and have a treat! I wish them all the success in the world. And I hope they stay in business forever, because I have yet to find another place like it in this area. And i'm dying to further explore their menu!!!! If you're contemplating going here. Stop thinking about it and just go, you won't...
Read moreIf I could give a NO star review I would. This store doesn't have sugar free options for people who have dietary restrictions. When asking the store if they offered sugar free their response was "sugar free isn't healthy." They could of just said "unfortunately, no we dont." But they chose to be unprofessional & try to school someone about what is & isnt healthy. For a store who sells nothing but sugar, they shouldn't be giving advice about what is & what isn't healthy. Full sugar isn't healthy either. It's not about that, there are many people in the world who have to eat "sugar free" options due to Diseases such a type 1 & 2 diabetes. So to assume its about being healthyshows their lack of knowledge. A large population of people in this world have dietary restrictions for sugar consumption & to be rude about it shows they're unprofessional & lack customer service. I'm glad to not give them business & I will be sharing this experience with many...
Read moreBubble tea with Boba=5 Stars. Hawaiian shave ice... So I went there for this and absolutely love shave ice most people try to pawn off snow cones as shave ice and the texture was spot on! I was very disappointed though because the shave ice itself tastes like they freeze really bad over mineralized stagnant tap water. It's probably a good thing I wasn't blown away with the shave ice because that would quickly become a problem for my wallet. I'm not 100% it's the ice maybe they wiped the machine down with a dirty rag not sure but the water caused me to eat about 1/3 because I love the texture but couldn't make it passed the taste. Hopefully they can start freezing some like 99 cent gallon filtered water or purchase a filtration system to add to the sink. I'll probably try it again in a few weeks since so many others loved it maybe I had a bad batch but...
