Westgate Barber — Local services in Tacoma

Two things to note. This store is inside westgate mall near the blockbuster entrance. It is cash only.

My haircut usually involves a simple clean look with a small fohawk on top and every place I go to somehow screws it up. I usually find that it takes two weeks for my haircuts to look decent.

Now for the review; this is one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. The hair looks great right out of the shop, no two week 'grow in' period required. It costs $18 for a haircut and $8 for a shave. This is a small barber shop, nothing fancy to look at. You won't get a free coffee or high end leather chairs. What you get is a genuine male barber shop; they are the only place that I've been to that still use a straight edge razor! My haircut literally makes me feel more alive. The attention to detail was beyond what I expected, the barber must have changed blade sizes 6 times!

I live on the other end of the city and I'll definitely make my way back here for my haircuts...

I've been going to Westgate Barber Shop for probably 25 years or more. My biggest complaint about barbers is that they don't listen to my preferences and I end up tolerating their work more than appreciating it. That is definitely not the case here.
