Staff was respectful and handled the situation calmly, but I wouldnt reccommend anyone ever do layaway here. My girlfriend put a pair of hey dudes on layaway earlier this month. I wanted to pay them off for her as a part as christmas. Turns out they needed to be picked up by the 17th, I get that they cant layaway forever. There were no hey dudes left which hey its Christmas it happens. I asked if we could just take the deposit back and was told no. I asked if we could maybe at least do store credit with the deposit we paid and was told no and that our $15 was going to be a "restocking fee". I get that they cant hold something forever and that it could have sold earlier, but this was for a few weeks and I tried picking up on christmas eve. I was told they had over 200 people that didnt pickup orders so they pocket the deposits. I was told they called on the 7th at noon and the voicemail was full. I have 3 voicemails total and none from them. No way a voicemail was left. Then after i showed them that and i was told "well we also called yesterday". I have 0 record of missing a call that day. Overall it has been frustrating. I wouldve been completely fine supporting the business if i couldve gotten our deposit in store credit, but a short layaway window and having the deposit pocketed by them has left me felt pretty...
