update 2025-04-21 when I was able to reach Aldi on the phone on Monday they provided me with a procedure by which the issue was simply and rapidly corrected.

update 2025-04-12 my friend was going into town and i wasn't so i got him to pick up my groceries. and he just got back with it and the receipt and aldi overscanned. they charged me for one too many item. *4965 L783/005/012 04/12/25 03:24PM is at the bottom of the receipt. there were only 5 cans of chicken not 6. when my friend got home and there were 5 in the box and 6 on the receipt i asked my friend how many he got and he said only 5. so unless he miscounted and one fell out of the box, aldi got it wrong. so i just called the aldi store and no one is answering the phone. that's why i've posted my concern here.

review before 2025-04-12 okay you know how if you go to Publix and the scanner charges you too much they have this so-called publix promise? yeah I know this review is about aldi. so they tell you that you get something like $3 off that item and if it costs less than $3 you get it for free. but then when you mention it to the cashier they're like oh no we don't do that here. I suppose the cashiers or the stock people or the store gets in trouble with home office or something like that so they try to cover it all up. well I just went to aldi. and the orange juice was marked 2.19 and then they charged me 2.45. but I wasn't certain. usually when I go back and check the price my memory is wrong. but I went back and checked it and sure enough the scanner was wrong. so I told them. and I was just expecting to get credit for the difference cuz you know how aldi has really low prices anyway and the food quality is really good and I wasn't expecting anything for free. well anyway they have this "twice as nice" guarantee and holy sh*t are they serious. without being prompted they informed me that I was getting all of my money back and a second orange juice for free! I didn't even ask them for anything! they seemed to want to make sure that I got the guarantee even if I didn't know it had been promised to me. super impressed! did I mention the prices are low and the food quality is high?!? what gives? Aldi...

The customers at Aldi are sometimes the WORST. You know who I’m talking about. If not- let me enlighten you on the entitlement that ruins my shopping experience. You don’t have a coin? Get one.. I don’t care if you have to rummage through your car, PLAN AHEAD, be an adult. Get a coin. If you are rating Aldi at 1-star because you don’t like to have to insert a coin.. that you get back by returning your cart… You are part of the problem and you need to fix yourself. If I could rate customers- these people would get 1 star. Don’t get me started on the customers who want bags.. BUY. A. BAG.

You want your items placed delicately in a basket? Get your bags ready and become an expert sorter. Be prepared to move quickly, because checkout at Aldi is efficient. And they don’t crush your eggs and bread, so just stop complaining. I’m waiting in line too and they can throw my stuff anyway they want- no complaints from me. I appreciate them getting me out quickly.

Finally, the inconsiderate ones, who take both carts and organize their purchased stuff using 2 carts- not using the counter that is there for you. Leaving the cashier stranded without a cart. I just can’t. The disrespect. And when the cashier tries to explain to you, you dismiss them and tell them “it’s okay, I have my process and it works”. No one cares about your process, you’re disrupting someone’s work and the customer behind you (me) wants nothing more than you to never return and burden these employees with your “process”.

This store has everything according to the seasons! The food prices are great! The store is strategically located near the college campus and around popular other prepared food places! The store is kept clean. The workers are personable and check out is fast! Great parking! The stock selection was great. The food is designed for quick consumption which allows for lower prices. I love 💕 their organic selections. Since shopping at Aldi’s, I have experienced a new trend for trying different brands and types of foods and products. Yes! Products from fans to heaters!
