The owner and the workers either lack communication or are lying to customers. For the latest Lorcana release (rise of the floodborn) I called and went on the discord to see about getting a preorder. Workers told me there would be no preorder for ANYONE. I was told it would be first come first serve for all. No special treatment. I took off of work early to go pick up some product in store, like I was told to do by workers. When I got there I was told they were sold out. But there was product behind the counter so I asked if they did preorder. To which I was told yes. Apparently the owner picked who he would and wouldn't allow to participate in the preorder. This wouldn't be that big of a deal if I wasn't lied to. Really disappointed.
Edit: I can’t comment to the owner below so I will comment here. I asked to do a preorder. I called on the phone and asked. I’m also on the discord. I stated this above. I was told no preorders. And you just admitted you did do preorders. But you limited to legue players. I was not going to add that part. But your employee literally told me when I asked why he refused me a preorder but allowed others to do one. The review is fair. You lied.
Also you did do preorders for the first chapter. I know because when I went in to get my product the person behind me was picking up a preorder. And it was not just 1 booster. She preorder a trove and starter decks as well. So you just lied again.
Also I did miss out on the product. Scalpers buy it off the shelves the minute it hits in nationwide retailers. You know this. I will not be able to get it. If I had known you sold out of preorders only offered to league players I would have gone to a different store to do a preorder. But you lied and said there were no preorders.
Disgustingly inappropriate reply to a customer who easily spent over $500 at your store for the first chapter. You easily could have...
Read moreI can't recommend this store enough. Recently, I moved to Tallahassee and wanted to start playing Warhammer for the first time. I had never played before and decided to check out all of the local game stores to see if anyone of them played 40k. I started at some smaller stores and almost all of the other game stores recommend Gamescape. I made my way over to the store and was greeted by and employee and a few customers that were playing a game of 40k. I knew it was a great sign when I had customers selling me on the store before the staff had to. I was given the stores discord where I got to see how large the Gamescape community is. People were traveling from Pensacola and Jacksonville to come and play games at this store.
As now that I am a regular visitor at the store, I can say the environment that is in Gamescape is incredibly friendly and passionate about every type of game that is out there. From any of the GW lines to all of the card games to the many other Tabletop Games, both employees and customers alike love being at Gamescape. Gamescape has set the bar of expectations high whenever I visit another store. I can't thank Ben enough for the amazing place that he has created here at this store. It is one thing to sell all of these products, but another to foster an community that you want...
Read moreAnytime I've ever walked in this place, I've been put off by the staff. I get that they deal with adolescents daily and I understand that can get old. The last time I went in is my last time.
I came in recently to buy some single cards to help support the store. I could have bought them off of Ebay, but I like to support local game stores.
I greet the fellow working and say "I would like to buy some single cards". The guy rolls his eyes and gets indignant because I didn't order them online. I tell him to chill out because he's dealing with an adult and not some 12 year old here to play Minecraft for 8 hours.
I figured it was easy enough for him to type in the cards I want into the and go get them but, no. I assumed it was what was going to happen like every other LGS I've been to. Then he says he only knows Alpha and Beta cards and doesn't know any "new cards". All while he's sitting I front of a computer that has every card inventoried.
So basically Gamescape can get bent. I'll give all my business to Taras next door and encourage other to...
