So I've had two systems done by Auto Audiophiles. Approximately 2 years ago I brought my first sound system, I had absolutely no problems with it other than my amp going limp which they replaced(under warranty). The first one was 2 Memphis 12s and a Memphis amp($750). Later on that year I brought Memphis door speakers to improve sound quality($477). So last year ago I went back to buy a 4 channel amp for my door speakers($600).The amp is installed and the quality has improved dramatically. I also brought an Equalizer ($70 from American Bass) to better handle my sound system.($200 installation) Times goes by and I feel like I need some new subs. I purchase some Sundown Audio 12s and a 2000 watt Amp[($1000)brought from woofersect]. I was having problems finding a box to fit my trunk (I have an Infiniti), so I had the shop custom build me one($470). Then I was charged another ($400) to have it installed. Here's where the problems start. About two weeks into it I'm driving home and my music goes blank. Ok cool so I take it back to them. I'm told the fuse blew. Ok so it's changed at no cost and my music is working. A couple days ago my door speakers and subs start shorting. I had to play it loud in order to get the all speakers the door speakers to play, but the subs were cutting in and out. I take it to them yesterday I'm told that I have 4 gauge wiring and that my system should have never been hooked up with the wiring from the previous sound system, mind you this is their doing. In my head I'm thinking as an audio technician you should have known that, but cool. He says that it'll be 250 for him to redo it and he cuts the power to the audio because he says that he doesn't feel comfortable with me driving around with it hooked up. I went in this morning and I'm told that he seriously under quoted the rewiring. I get the quote and its ($450) because they have to take the custom box apart and its a 5 hour job. How should I have to pay for your mistake? So now I'm driving around in a car that has absolutely no sound, I'm miserable and frustrated at this point and really...
Read moreLove this place. Larry, Scott and the whole team are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and upfront with you. I wanted to feel the music in my vehicle and I was not feeling it with my factory speakers. I had 2 Memphis 10" subs in a box put in with an amp. Didn't want any custom boxes in case I needed to take it out temporally for storage space. I can definitely feel it now. Installation was professional grade, all the wires and amp are hidden, awesome job Larry. Those Memphis subs can shake the whole vehicle and i'm talking about a full size SUV.
My vehicle didn't come with a remote start system and it gets hot down here in the summer. Having a remote start system to cool down your car when it's 100 out is almost a necessity. So these guys hooked me up with a 2-way remote start system that works up to about 2000 ft without obstructions and 1000 ft with obstructions. So when i'm leaving work or checking out at the grocery store my car is nice and cool by the time I get to it. The system is extremely advance as it's an fully functional top of line alarm system as well. The key fob can even tell you the temperature of your vehicle. Scott was amazing, can't even tell what stocking wiring or alarm system wires. Everything is hidden and seamless.
Oh and I bought a set of LED headlights from amazon, Low beams and high beams. Scott put those in as well.
I will definitely be going back to get my head-unit and door speakers upgraded when there are dash-kits...
Read moreAuto Audiophiles is simply amazing. I had them install my front speakers, tweeters, and coaxial speakers in the back. Bought two amps and a LCI2 and then installed two 12s in the trunk. There pricing is fair. I called up shops all over Florida and they were right on par with every other shop that did quality work. The install was pretty looking. These guys know what they are doing. They even had me break in my subs before we gave them full power because they care. If you tell Larry what your looking for he is an expert and will guide you in the right direction. Would give them 10/10 stars if I could. They often have stuff in stock that you need. I even did some shopping around at some of the other local shops and they couldn’t compete with the quality and pricing of what I wanted to do. I would say if your serious about getting some car audio work done stop by here and let them work with you to get your end goal in sight. I had a full Focal Access line installed in my car from the tweeters to the subs. I dont regret it one bit. Thank you Larry and the team at Auto Audiophiles
I am editing this review to follow up on the amazing job Larry and team do. I have had over 10,000 dollars worth of audio equipment now. Full KX2 and K2 line up from focal with 3 amps installed and two 12in subs. Next up is a head unit and the eventual DSP. I would always recommend Larry and team to do the...
