Fresh 4 Less — Local services in Tallahassee

Today is Thursday Nov 7, 2024 and I am a two to three days a week shopper at this store spending $200 to $300 a month. I've always enjoyed shopping here. Nice people, tight run ship UNTIL just now!!! I checked out in the 10 items or less register. Then they had to go check on a price so I told them to forget it, I didn't want the item. The rude checkout clerk rang up 4 items but I only had three. So I corrected her and she took an item back. I tried to explain to her that I only got three but she rang up four and to give me the item back. After arguing with me saying that I told her to take the item back, and playing stupid, she took my hundred dollar bill and then just put the change on top of the bag holder. I asked what that was and said your change. I said, 'Youte not going to hand it to me or count it back??? She said no because I was rude. I was not rude to her, yet she acted like I was the problem when it was ALL HER!!! I don't understand why this young person felt so entitled as to treat me the way she did. She desperately needs some customer service training!!! The checkout manager walked up at the end of our conversation so she knows who the cashier is. I'd rather pay double the amount for my groceries than deal with her...

I really like this store but more and more I'm starting to feel like it's becoming unreliable. The last 3 times I've visited, the produce is old, beat-up and moldy. Just 2 days ago I purchased 6 Chobani yogurts and all but one expired on November 6th, 2022. Today is November 14th, which tells me that they are not doing a good job of managing the products in the store. The same day, I purchased squash, tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers and they are all gone bad. I was able to use only one tomato but everything else had mold or a clear jelly like substance coming out of them. I've wasted more money because now the prices have gone up and I'm 0 for 0 at the moment. I was so excited to move here and find a nice local grocer to support but Im now being forced to shop elsewhere. This can't keep happening!

Also, Management do better because every time I'm in the store and have questions, I can rarely get...

About 30 "hot wings" in this pack, and the meat packer packed the pieces in 2 layers. 15 layers on bottom/15 layers on top.

15 of the 30 pieces has multiple feathers. More than 5... completely covered in feathers! Fresh 4 Less, Your packers are purposely and grossly misleading buyers by concealing unclean chicken under strategically placed layers of "display perfect" chicken.

Offering discounted groceries isn't permission to neglect one's responsibility towards providing healthy, clean products and services.

Second, the store always has an awful smell (I've visited 3xs) like burnt grease.

Luckily, the chicken didn't have a smell and not many broken bones found within wings.

I do not recommend this location if you do not believe in washing meats...
