Jewelry buyers beware! Make sure you do not prepay for anything that you have not seen as you cannot exchange it once it arrives...even if it looks different from other items at the store.
I recently was trying to find an initial necklace for my daughter and was told that they regularly get in 12 to 15 standard letters that sell out really fast. I was told that there were several people looking for the same letters I was looking for so it was suggested to me by a nice floor clerk to get on a waiting list for one of those letters and they would call when me when they got one in.....all good so far.
Later that week I was back in the store to purchase another item and happened to be told by the same clerk and another girl that she thought the other store had just gotten some letters in that day. One called and found one of the letters I thought I wanted but not the other. Although my daughter had decided she preferred the other letter, we decided to go head and get this one thinking it should be nice. They said they could put it on hold for me to pick up at the other store or they could just transfer it it to their store the next day.
I was pre-paying for a monogramed item and thought I would good to just go head and just pay for both items together and then pick up both items later.
It was clear from our extended conversation with the sales girls that neither they nor I had never seen this particular letter before, and we assumed it looked like others in the store. UNFORTUNATELY NO ONE TOLD ME THAT PREPAYING FOR IT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA because ALL jewelry (even reoccurring stock items like this) was not even exchangeable.
I am a big supporter of local businesses for many reasons, one being that you get to build relationships with the people who work there and, because of that, often get better customer service....but here, although the sales girls was a nice as she could be, the owner seemed to not care one bit about me or the particular circumstances of my situation. She seemed distant and almost annoyed that I asked to talk to her saying basically "too bad, all jewelry sales are final".
This was not a special order and I was not asking for a refund but rather just wanted to exchange this letter for the other when ever it did finally come back into stock at the store. I knew the letter I was returning would sell right away as I had been told by the clerks that several folks were actively looking for it....so it was not like I was putting the shop out by having to restock and old or unwanted item.
I guess my business was not worth much to the owner given how indifferently I was treated, so I will now be talking my business to other more personable...
Read moreOn November 3, 2020 I took a scrub jacket and a fleece jacket to have monogrammed. I was told to pick jackets up in two days. On Thursday, November 5, 2020 I went to retrieve my items and noticed that my scrub jacket was monogrammed in the incorrect area. The fleece jacket was monogrammed perfectly. I was told the scrub jacket would be corrected and to check back Monday. I received a voicemail basically stating that after removing the thread from the incorrect area, the monogram imprint was still visible on the scrub jacket. They asked where I purchased the scrub jacket from so that they can purchase another one and monogram it correctly. When I stopped by the shop, I was told that the place I purchased my scrub jacket from was out of stock and that it could be a week or longer before they will receive the scrub jacket. I stated I would like a refund and to be reimbursed for the money I paid for my scrub jacket. I was told they will refund me for the monogram, but they would have to keep my jacket since they offered to buy another jacket and to correct their mistake. I said, No, I'll just have to wait. However, the same day, I called the place that I originally purchased the scrub jacket from and was told that they did have two of the scrub jackets in my size in stock. Therefore, I called M&M Monogram shop and gave them the name of the person I spoke to and the phone number of the business. Last week, I called M&M Monogram shop and was told I'm in line and that they will give me a call. Mind you, it usually only takes them two days to monogram an item, yet I'm still waiting for a call back with a day to pick my scrub jacket up. It's obvious this should have been a priority to correct, since it was an error M&M Monogram made, however if you're not important they do not seem to care and will continue to make you wait patiently. It's been over a month since I took my scrub jacket to M&M Monogram shop and I still have not received it back yet. Today is Friday,...
Read moreI spent over $200 and let’s just say never again! Horrible communication, the thread is coming out the shirts after one wash! Still have shirts there that they messed up and have yet to receive a call back or an update! I don’t understand why I’m calling once a week for an update! No email no nothing! Really just rushed and did whatever! Then no compensation! No...
