I did takeout from this place because my husband and I have eaten here in the past, and we really liked the quality of the food.
However, the ordering process was ridiculous. They made me come in person to the restaurant to place an order⦠I was not allowed to place one over the phone. And part of this is because the kitchen staff (and they my order, not a waitress/manager) said that if I donāt show up, and my food was unpaid for, they have to pay out of pocket for my food. This is a management problem and if itās really happening that much for it to be a problem, they need to have a new protocol in place. I even offered to give them my credit card over the phone and they wouldnāt let me.
I came in person, ordered, and waited. Once I finally got my food, and drove home, a bunch of stuff was missing⦠missing tortillas for the two fajitas and missing queso dip that we paid 9$ for.
When I called for a reimbursement, they said no manager was working tonight. Are you kidding? No manager working on a Saturday night?
Not sure we will be returning or ordering...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have loved the original location since they opened a few years ago. They always had a unique take on the dishes they were serving. Since they started to remodel the location on the parkway they started to introduce a number of modern options to the menu. The fact that they were able to parlay their modern thinking into a brand new concept under the Casa Grande name is fabulous!
They have a menu full of traditional Tex-Mex and boutique tacos as well as flights of their most popular items so diners like me who love to sample won't have a hard time choosing what they would like to have for dinner.
The place itself is beautiful as well. It matches the brand and even the sign outside is a draw. It changes colors!
This new location is sure to be a hit with the locals in the area especially once the pandemic settles down. I'm glad that I was able to get a good table on a Monday night. Once things get back to normal I don't know if that's going to be a regular occurrence. I'm sure there's going to be a wait every night...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love the Casa Grande on the Parkway, and decided to try this new one, on Thomasville Rd. Ordered a chicken Fajita and Burrito Verde, 1 beer, 2 margaritas. ALL was very good and we left with some leftovers. Good size helpings. The C/J Margarita's are a bit pricey, for the amount you get, but good. The only thing that was a turn-off was that their 'acoustics' leave much to be desired in holding noise down. Suggest putting carpeting on walls, or something. There was a large group in the front of restaurant, that were definitely in "party mode", complete with hyper children and adults that were talking at the top of their lungs! We had to go to the rear of restaurant to get a table away from the large party and noise. This was a Saturday night, so we will try them again, on a weekday, to see if the noise level is different. For the most part, the food was excellent, just as we remember the Casa Grande on the Apalachee Parkway. Our waitress, Skylar was very attentive, as well, as was the...
