I canât even comment on a show because I didnât get to see one due to hurricane Helene. I was told on the phone and through email that I would be issued a ticket credit and if I wanted a refund I would have to request one. I planned on seeing a show at a later date, therefore, I didnât request one. Since the email stated a credit ticket would be issued I was under the assumption I didnât need to request that either. Thank god I checked with the box office because long story short. My ticket was donated without my acknowledgment ,due to me not requesting a refund or a credit. In all I wonât be attending any shows held at this location and I wonât be able to experience my first play after all. I donât even want a refund I just wanted to see a show since I paid for it. I hope this helps anyone else under the same assumption and any future guest that may experience this. Update: Iâve been meaning to add this but could not find the edit button and at the time. I was not in a place to keep trying. With that being said, The owner ended up seeing this review and refunding my ticket. I have yet to attend a show but Iâm sure they are great for a night of...
Read moreFirst, love, love, love Theatre Tallahassee! All the shows we have seen are of of such quality and terrific performances that you actually believe you are watching a broadway show. Last night, however, we went to see Murder on the Orient Express, and it gets a 4-star primarily because the cast often spoke so softly that we couldnât hear much of the dialogue. Depending on where you were seated, many actors simply spoke too softly to be heard for different audience sections. Many of the scenes were played on the left side of the stage, thus little problem hearing for those in the left side of the theater. But those of us on the right side of the theatre, we often failed to laugh or react, like others, because we couldnât hear nor understand the quips being uttered. At the intermission, I asked several folks sitting around me if they had trouble hearing some of the actors. They all said that Synnovea Ashe, playing Mary Debenham, was particularly difficult to hear. Actors speaking too soft is...
Read moreTruly a sad first experience with this theater. Due to an unfortunate schedule confusion, my family missed our show. I called the theater the following day to explain the situation, in hopes that we could reschedule. The representative on the phone was very callous and lacked any sort of empathy for our situation. This show was going to be a Christmas gift to my family. My family used to frequently attend the theater in our home town, and hoped to find a similar experience here in Tallahassee. It was a great source of enjoyment for our family and especially for my special-needs daughter. However, this first interaction has led me to conclude that we will not be patrons to the...
