My experience was i walked in on a Friday at 9:30 with no appointment. They said they'd be able to service me in 30 minutes. No problem, Im a walk in makes sense,so when I am called back I ask are you able to do this style, she said yes. I said are you sure I want this style but if you can't do it let me know (because i can go with a different look) Long story short, she couldn't do it and I didn't want the green color by itself it was supposed to be a marble look for homecoming. The green by itself was not my style. I told her when she attempted the first 'marble' nail I don't like it she was like well it's gel so it's the color we stick with (in my head I'm disappointed because it would've been fine if you could do what you said you could do vs drawing some white squiggly lines down my polish, i couldve got a different look) I try to adapt, we'll how about chrome let's put chrome and i ask that on the 4 out of 10 "French tip style" nails I'd like those changesd to completely polished all green (so they can all be chrome and look the same.) Not sure if she doesn't understand or doesn't care but she continues without changing the French tip (green) to the full polish and just puts chrome on all of them as is. I don't like it much but it seems she's not willing to change and I don't do the back and forth with people providing a service. With the chrome it shimmers to a blue and my school colors are green (the whole point of getting my nails done is for my homecoming to show school spirit) anyhow not only did it not look how I wanted they weren't pushed all the way to the nail bed. It's a fill in but it looks like I've had it a few days (not horrible but I'm just particular) . Now to to the good, the pedicure, it was great I have to give credit where credit is do my French was done perfectly and he actually did a full pedicure service. It was relaxing and thorough, so I do recommend that . Lastly price, my total is like $ 130 I know with tip it was 150. Yes i tipped even though i didnt like my nails the pedi guy deserved it. I know pedi was 65 and I don't know the gell fill in price. I really do not care for my nails because it wasn't what I was going for if you want your feet done I definitely recommend this place. Otherwise I wouldn't suggest it if you want a specific style. They will say they can but they may not be able to and if its gel, they're not willing to rectify the situation. The nails aren't bad but it's just not what I had in mind, nor is it my style. I attached my ask (I did want the square instead of coffin. I know coffins cute but i like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs of late, Iāve been experiencing some pain in my feet and ankles. When I discovered Millennium Spa offered a specific pedi service for muscle and joint aches I was ecstatic. I arrived only to find out the appointment had been coded incorrectly reducing my anticipated 90 minutes appointment to 60 minutes.
As I discussed with the service provider (nail tech), I was willing to see someone else or have two providers since he had another appointment he appeared nonchalant and placed blame on the front desk staff.
After asking to speak with a manager, explaining the circumstances and a conversation being held in their native language I was informed he could complete the service. The service started almost ten minutes after my scheduled time and ended an hour later; however, I was still charged the 90 minutes session rate.
Each element of the service was provided but it felt rushed the entire time and the tech kept looking around (lacking attentiveness to the task at hand.
Surprisingly, I was never asked if I wanted a beverage. An apology for the service mixup wasnāt extended until the end of the service when the young man walked me to the front to pay.
Unfortunately, this was not my first time visiting and having an adverse experience. Each time I go something happens that tends to have me pause on visiting. However, this time the circumstances were so disturbing that I felt it warranted a review, to advise the friends who were planning a spa day at the facility in two weeks to do research on a different spa entity, and to tell another friend who I recommended to get a pedicure and was planning to make an appointment this upcoming week about my experience.
Accommodations, accountability, and customer service could have easily rectified this matter. Paying $70 + tip for a service and receiving such treatment was flabbergasting!
As for the gel polishing the young...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my fourth time coming here, and unfortunately it was the experience that pushed me to finally speak up. I came in for a simple gel polish change and chose a dark blue/purple shade from the wall. I was told (as always) that any of the wall colors could also be done in gel.
When it was time to apply the gel, the color the technician brought over was noticeably different ā WAY more blue and not close to the dark purple shade I picked. In the past, Iāve noticed the gel colors donāt always match the wall colors perfectly, but this time the difference was drastic enough that I felt I had to say something. Iām paying for a specific look, and itās frustrating to not receive the color I selected.
I was also convinced to add a manicure āso it would look better,ā and because of the back-and-forth about the color, my visit went beyond the time I had planned for. To try to fix the issue, she rushed through a regular polish instead. It didnāt fully dry, and by the time I left it was already cracked, smudged, and looked rushed. My hands were left dry, and overall the manicure looks sloppy.
I donāt like to be āthatā customer ā in fact, Iāve never spoken up here before. Iām also someone who always tips generously, but today I felt I had no choice but to withhold gratuity. I left disappointed, feeling like I wasted both time and money, and unfortunately Iām unsure if I will be returning based on this experience.
Edit: The owner emailed me which is super nice, but I do still feel like Iām having to convince them how different the colors were. Also, the nails being smudged wasnāt the issue. If you look at my cuticles, my nails look⦠awful.
Also, I came in with time constraints and clearly communicated this to the staff. This is why I came in ONLY for a polish...
