I come here almost every morning and today, had an experience that has motivated me to invest in a Nespresso machine and call it a wrap with my Starbucks addiction.
I placed an order via drive through for 4 items, one of which was a pumpkin spice late. On the screen, it was rung up as a white chocolate mocha +pumpkin sauce (or something along those lines), i noticed that the way it was rung up brought the total to $6.70 versus the $5.70 clearly advertised on the menu. I was in no way upset by this, but i brought up that the way it was being rung up was causing an increase in price.
The woman said " my manager took the button away this morning for the pumpkin spice so I have no way to ring it up. I am trying my best"
She seemed frustrated with the fact that I addressed the pricing inaccuracy, which i was surprised by as I was being polite. Also, a lack of button is not justification for overcharging.
However. the part that actually upset was when i pulled up to the window. A different woman scanned my mobile app and while at the window, i can clearly hear the woman that took my order talking about me. She clearly said " it was a 10 cent difference" and a male coworker was engaging with her regarding my supposed difficulty. I told the employee at the window (who was very polite as always) that I could hear them talking about the interaction and that what her coworker was saying was inaccurate, it was not 10 cents it was a dollar. and that it was never a big deal.
It becomes a big deal when you are talking about your customer within earshot. especially over something so small that clearly set off the employee taking my order.
The lady at the window was apologetic and restated that what they are talking about is the fact that the button is gone - at which point, i could hear the girl yet again in the background say " 10 cents". The employee was trying to create a narrative that I was being difficult over 10 cents which just never happened.
Overall - maybe just don't make up stories about supposedly difficult customers within ear...
Read moreThis is my neighborhood Starbucks that I come to all the time and I always have friendly enough service but today an employee with reddish hair and glasses repeatedly kept using a pet name (âloveâ specifically) to refer to my boyfriend in the drive thru even after sensing my distaste for it. For the record I would like to point out that even if there was no one else in the car but me I would still not like to be called ANY pet names. Pet names are for people you know, as Iâm sure your company is aware, Pet names are not professional so Iâm not sure if itâs a thing you guys as a company started doing recently or if itâs just that girl. I come here all the time and usually have friendly enough service but this girl today was catty, she even went as far as to be petty and specifically said, âHere you go, MY FRIENDâ as she handed over the last drink. It was just rude, petty behavior and not good customer service at all. The 3 stars are for the sake of the fact that the drinks were good and the transaction was timely enough but if I based my rating on this experience alone, it would have been a 1 star. I hope that your employee can improve because Iâm all about second chances, but girl.. itâs best not to antagonize your customers. Please do better. Iâm a nice person, but I am also very observant and I donât take kindly to...

I have worked as a barista in a coffee shop and i know how busy it would get sometimes and i know all kinds of milks and kind of drinks baristas make.
I had ordered a white mocha latte with oat milk and the barista has accidentally added 2% milk for about 40% and then filled up the cup with oat milk for the rest and handed me the cup.
I asked her that is it made fully with oat milk as i have seen her adding 2% milk for some part of the drink .she denied it and told me she made it oat milk that too rudely.
I donât have any allergies to dairy,so i took my drink without asking again as I donât want to argue.
Even if i consume the drink,I wouldnât get sick because i donât have any allergies. But what about people with allergies ? You guys need to be good people before being baristas and people are paying extra for special kind of milks and any alterations- because thats the way they wanted , either because of health issues or because of their taste.you need to respect that and do not deny your mistakes, instead learn from your mistakes , apologize for your mistakes and let the guest feel good - do not lie.
Because just a minor lie can cause major health issues.please keep...
