Terrible business practice. Terrible ownership. Bad management.
I was so excited to try this place. My mother came in for mother's day weekend so we decided to check it out. It was a Saturday about 5pm when we arrived. The place was empty. Before eating, my mom was curious about the oriental market next door. Granted, we were in the market for about 2 hours (there's a lot to see, especially if you've never been there - highly recommend checking it out), but when we left the market to grab dinner at the Doodle Noodle Bar, my car was gone! The restaurant had it towed!! There were 15+ open spots in the parking lot so you can't tell me that my car being parked there was impeding business. Safe to say, we decided to NOT stay for dinner after having to pay $166 to get my car back.
I will NEVER come back. I will NEVER give the Doodle Noodle Bar a cent of my money. And I WILL be sure to tell everyone I know, NOT to support them. The lack of compassion and understanding towards your customers is unacceptable.
Side note - The manager on duty blamed it on late night club-goers making it a routine tow spot but this all happened between 5-8pm...not during club hours!!!
I will also add, the server at the counter was very nice and if you're going to be towing people's cars out of the parking lot, give that girl a raise, and maybe put up some signs that say you can only park there while you're physically inside. Don't park...
Read moreDoodle Noodle 2 offers a delightful experience for noodle enthusiasts in the heart of the USF area. Situated in a stand-alone building, the restaurant boasts a modern and inviting ambiance with vibrant 2D decor that complements its Asian fusion menu. During my visit, the service was exemplary - the staff was attentive and friendly. The manager Mimi is sweet and showed great care for customers and staff.
The star of the show, however, was the food. Each dish we had showcased a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. I went with the build your own bowl option. The noodles were cooked to perfection, retaining just the right amount of bite, while the beef broth was aromatic and bursting with flavor. My girlfriend went with the Hei Hei Rice Bowl which was packed with seasoned chicken, rice, spring mix, red curry, pickled veggies, scallions, cilantro and cucumber. This dish was packed full of flavor and freshness.
The menu at Doodle Noodle caters to a variety of preferences, from spicy to mild, ensuring there's something for everyone. Prices are reasonable for the quality offered, making it a great choice for both casual meals and special occasions alike.
Overall, my experience at Doodle Noodle 2 was thoroughly enjoyable. From the inviting atmosphere to the delicious food and attentive service, it's clear why this new location will quickly become a local favorite. I look forward to returning to explore more of their...
Read moreDoodle Noodle Bar had been on my bucket list for months, thanks to numerous influencers raving about its charm and decor. The ambiance really is cool and provides great photo opportunities if that’s your thing.
However, the experience was a bit pricey compared to some other ramen spots I prefer over in Riverview. Given that you order at the register and then they bring the food out to you, I expected a little more for the price. The service was incredibly friendly, though, so no real complaints there—just an observation that for the cost, table service would have been nice.
As for the food, it was okay, but nothing mind-blowing, which is a shame given the cute location. I started with the pan-seared chicken dumplings. They didn’t have much flavor, but the citrusy ponzu sauce was delicious. For my entrée, I had the Seafood Delight, which was just okay. I wasn’t a big fan of the noodles or the fried crab sticks, but the flavor of the Kimchi sauce was great and had the perfect amount of heat.
The highlight of my meal was definitely the lemonade. The strawberry lemonade was so amazing that I ended up getting another one to go.
Overall, Doodle Noodle Bar is a cute spot with friendly service, but the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. If you’re looking for a place with great decor and photo ops, it’s worth a visit, but if you’re in it purely for the ramen, you might find better...
