The Guam Brewery Taphouse — Local services in Tamuning Municipality

Guam Brewery just brought their Taproom back to the Blue Lagoon Plaza, just a few spots down from their initial location. They have 12 beers on tap that currently consists of mainly IPAs, a few sours, and an imperial stout. There are more offerings in their beer cooler to add that bottle shop experience. No food available like before, so hoping there will be food trucks again like their grand opening last Friday night.

Their flagship Island IPA was on tap but no Guam Gold 🍺 Being in the taproom again made me miss the Mansanita 🍺 and hope there will be another porter soon. Slightly different vibe from before, as a smaller space and louder music less conducive to chatting. Smaller staff with no table service, so head to the bar like a true pub. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Hafa Acai 🍺 was easy drinking without being overly sour. Double IPA had a nice finish and is one of the better beers I’ve had from the new version of the brewery. Brewery merchandise also available to support local as you drink local 🇬🇺 🍺

Food: was not good at all, more of like an elementary school lunch. But the beers were pretty good, it’s a lot of IPA’s and I tried 9 of them.

Service: the food was extremely slow to get and it didn’t come in the order you ordered it. If I got a hotdog and I’m #3 why is #14 getting it first. They also forgot who ordered what lol.

Atmosphere: there was a live rapper, singer, not sure but it wasn’t bad. Just it’s kind of a small place to have live music.

Lastly: I wouldn’t come here again, there’s way better places in Guam with food, live music,...

As our hotel was close by we stopped here on the first night of our trip. Jeremy the bartender was very nice. We were able to sample any beer, before we bought a glass. The Belgian Quad and the Yuzu IPA were our favorites.

We met a local couple that wanted to learn German. We met again with them the following day at this place and had a lot of fun. The beers are decently priced, atmosphere is good.
