BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR TAKE-OUT CUSTOMERS
I placed an order for take out. They told me 30-40 minutes. I got there after 40 minutes and noticed a line outside for dine-in and take-out. The men waiting in line for take-out kindly allowed me to go ahead of them because they had already been helped. Nobody comes out to ask if I need help, so I pop in and tell the hostess who has been busy assisting dine-in customers that I'm there to just pay and pick up my order. She tells me in an unfriendly tone, "Please wait outside. There is a line of people waiting outside." I told her "ok" and patiently waited outside. I'm the only one in line for take-out orders. By then it's been an hour since I ordered my food and still no one has come out to assist me. The hostess continues to assist dine-in customers and ignores me. None of the other workers come out to assist me, so I pop back in and rush to the counter to make a payment and pick up my order. I also saw a bunch of take-out orders waiting to be picked up. I rush home hungry, open my packed ramen and noticed that they mistakenly gave me CURRY ramen when I had ordered for SOY ramen. The receipt attached to the bag even says SOY RAMEN. This was not worth the wait. It is my first AND last time going to their new location. If you want ramen go to Menkui...
Read more10/03/19 update: So we finally had a chance to eat at the new Fuji formally en restaurant. The decor was nice and updated the staff were friendly and the food was it's regular delicious saltyness. Had our normal miso ramen gyoza and tried the garlic shrimp fried rice, was ok but things went down hill. On our last bowl of rice we found a hair...yuck lunch was done. Didn't complain just won't eat there for awhile. Old review: Fuji Ichihara Raman is a local favorite, often buy during lunch and dinner. With a tiny parking lot it is a good idea to goo early. It is not busy when lunch and dinner are over so if you don't mind eating at off time it would be great to find parking. This is not gourmet Japanese food but is good for families or groups of friends who want good tasting Japanese food. The portions are large so you can share your ramen or fried rice, also enough to take home. They offer catered plates and take out. Favorites from miso ramen and gyoza are rich in flavor but they also offer many other ramen for your taste. Service is usually attentive and food gets to you quickly. They have plans to move across the street to a stand alone building with a larger parking lot. Price are not bad but have gotten...
Read moreI wanted to enjoy my experience here but I'm sat in the restaurant right now, seemingly forgotten by the busy staff.
Tonkotsu ramen broth was disappointingly flavourless and the noodles were so overcooked you could have been forgiven for thinking they were instant. You can ask for them hard but nowhere does is it offered
I had to wait for 15minutes to get condiments after my food had arrived. The chashu don set came with salty pulled pork instead of chashu. I was told that's how it is even though the menu and photo say different. I sent it back.
I ordered shinsen miso ramen asking for the noodles to be hard. So much better, broth was flavorful and well spiced.
The bill was put down on my table even though i was looking at the menu waiting to order more food. Now I've got the 2 different Bill's in front of me that are both wrong and I've been waiting with my card to pay for more than 20mins.
*The waitress compd me an ice tea but I asked to pay for it. She removed the gratuity. She was upset at my expression of disappointment for that I apologise to her. I tipped in cash,...
