Be very careful when exiting your vehicle when there is ice or snow on the ground here. I dont want anyone to get hurt. Today at approximately 1045am I parked in the handicap spot on the south side of the main entrance. As I was getting out of my truck my feet slipped forward and I landed on my back and hit my head on the pavement. I tried to catch myself with my left arm but failed to stop myself. I stayed on the ground for a couple seconds to get the strength to get up. I have severe spinal canal stenosis in my neck and lower back.I have osteonecrosis in my right hip. I am supposed to get a full hip replacement tomorrow. I try to put all my weight on my left leg when I walk. It hurts very bad to for me to walk. I am trying my best not to be in a wheelchair. I got up and very carefully made my way inside and told the worker that they need to put some salt down around the handicap parking spot. He told me they have no salt and that they put some down already. The only place i seen salt is on the sidewalk next to the building. I told them that I slipped and fell on there parking lot. They acted like I was lieing or something. They did not even ask if I was ok. I walked to where the windshield wipers are and looked for the cheapest wiper and seen a brand for $9.99. I walked back to the counter to find what size I need. The worker is about 6ft 170lb shoulder length brown hair caucasian Male. I ask him what size windshield wiper goes on the driverside of my truck. He looked on the computer and told me 22in. He started naming off the most expensive windshield wipers. I made my way back to the $9.99 windshield wiper and thought I grabbed the 22in wiper. I dont have alot of money and unable to work because of my condition i keep getting denied for disability. I have been selling everything I bought when I was able to work just to get what my family needs. I walked back to the counter and used a digital birthday coupon $5 off that is on my phone and paid for the wiper then I noticed that I grabbed the 20in wiper. I asked him if I could change it for the 22in wiper and he told me that the 20in will work. I asked him if that is the original size that goes on my truck. He said without even looking at the computer. It's the right size it will work. I went to my truck and compared the two wipers and noticed its smaller then the wiper on my truck. I went back inside and asked if I can exchange it for the 22in wiper. He said that he would have to recharge me for the birthday coupon I used to purchase the 20in. He became very rude at this point. I asked him why cant I just exchange for the 22in. He said he would have to go back to the first transaction and return it. I asked him why I cant just trade it they were both the same brand and price. He told me that the 22in wiper and the 20in wiper are not the same price. They both are the same brand and the same price on the shelf and website. He told me he has to return the other wiper blade and do a new transaction. He acted like he did not want to do the return and new transaction. I said "ok its your job right". I'm hurting very bad from the fall and became irritated because he seemed rude to me. I went back to the wipers and got the 22in wiper to exchange for the 20in wiper I purchased. He told me that he cant use my birthday coupon and have to pay full price because I used it for the first transaction. He scanned it and told me it will be $5 more. I am glad the manager or other worker came over and told him to make it 4.99 and let me trade the wiper. I had a very bad experience at this location and will never buy anything from O'Reilly's again. I have a bad headache and my neck hurts alot worse then before I fell. Every other store I went to today has salt in there parking lots. I even seen some stores putting salt down yesterday before the storm got here. This is a very big company and they cannot afford to put salt in there parking lot. I hope this helps keep other handicap people from getting...
