I’ve consistently had a negative experience at this store. As a queer woman of color who is also androgynous with a shaved head, I don’t blend in with more conservative norms, and I can’t help but notice that I’m treated differently here. The woman who owns the store gives me unwelcoming looks and is consistently unhelpful when I ask questions. For example, when I asked about a place to lock my bike, she dismissively said, “Why? Just leave it outside.”

Body language and nonverbal cues are a major part of how we communicate, and it’s clear to me that I’m being treated differently from her other customers. I understand she may be going through personal challenges with a sick family member, but I’ve observed her being warm and kind to others, particularly people who present more traditionally, like my mother, who she always treats with respect.

I get the sense that her conservatism might be part of why she’s uncomfortable around queer or visibly different people, but regardless of personal beliefs, treating customers fairly and with basic courtesy is a standard everyone should meet.

Also, the store is extremely dusty, you can leave with visibly dirty hands, which is surprising given how expensive the items are. She did organize more and clean up so it does look better than before but it is still very dusty.

Despite how I’m treated, I will continue to treat her with respect. But I won’t ignore how I’m made to feel in this space. I hope this feedback is taken...

I am really upset with this Location . I reserved a UHual trailer today 9/28/2021 I was coming from Lancaster to Tehachapi !! It’s about a 50 minute drive to Tehachapi , I was on my way to pick up some items from another person in Tehachapi and take it to another client in the same city, Anyways I reserved my trailer exactly 5:00pm Before reserving online I went on Google and it said they close at 6:00pm I was already on my way when my wife reserved the trailer I got there at 5:20pm NO ONE THERE! I called 4-5 times No Answer!! What a waste of time since No one else had the size trailer I needed SMH. And No I’m not looking for a refund of any kind just wanted to let...

Rented an trailer to haul my wife's car. Lee was awesome. Answered all my questions and offered advice on the trailer. Placed new tie down strap due to wear on the one. Helped with getting the car on the trailer and getting it secured . Place is full of furnishings, knick knacks, could really get in trouble if I went in without the wife. plus there's an great chocolate shop...
