This time it's gone too far. It's not about instituting new procedures, raising prices or even more paranoia. It's about the law -- protecting sensitive personal health info (not yelling it in front of your whole staff, & the public). And a hostility-free business, where pharmacists put patients' health first, where the Dr/patient trust and teamwork (forged over many years) isn't undermined by blame, false accusations or demands -- that physicians consider what the pharmacist wants, NOT what the patient needs. And, if the pharmacist has a helpful suggestion, it's intelligently implemented, by everyone in the healthcare team (with patients' full knowledge).
There should be a clear understanding - that they are NOT clinicians, physicians, etc., who are actually taking full and sole responsibility for patient health outcomes. This is the crucial line that gets crossed too often, and causes the most damage.
I'm talking about the very short pharmacist who, for 3 months, has been harassing patients & Drs, being accusatory, refusing to protect patient privacy, overtly hostile, using threats and putting up even more barriers to accessing reasonable healthcare.
Because I was having a sudden health crisis, tried to just ignore this. Tell myself that it would stop, it was only temporary, that I have more important things to think about than how my family and I are being treated. Being treated badly, however, does actually effect our health, and being subject to incessant pressure, unreasonable demands, highly inappropriate comments and false accusations, has put added strain on my health, relationships with family, friends, colleagues and of course, doctors. Probably will file a formal complaint with the CA State Board of Pharmacy, because it's gone beyond just abominable business policies and now has a stranglehold on legal and...

Walked in when I got back town for them to say they have the order but it wasn't ready and THEY would call when ready for pick up. That was about 9am. Heard nothing so I called at 1:21pm for the order to still not be ready and they were closing at 1:30-2pm for lunch. Was able to talk to an associate; she said that they would fill it before 1:30 and I would be able to pick up after they reopened at 2pm.
Returned at 2:05 and not only is there a line but they still had the shutters down, they finally came up at 2:13. After getting to the counter and explaining that I called and was told the script would have been filled before lunch it took her another 15 minutes to find the order and then another 10 to get a signature as if she filled my order in the back while I was waiting at the counter.
Obviously the line isn't a major issue but if the workers opened on time, that wouldn't have been an issue. I also didn't think would hear a pharmacy tech say that she had no idea what to refer for OTC as well as others asking why they were told a script was filled just for them to find out in person that they were out of supply in the first place.
Was my first time using this pharmacy and I won't be back for the pharmacy specifically what so ever. Severely disappointed in their work eithic as well as overall attitude.
The cashier in the front as well as other workers were great and it's sad I can't give full stars...
Read moreThis Walgreens in Tehachapi desperately needs New Management. For 7 years this Walgreens has been understaffed and not able to fill prescriptions on time or have medications on hand when they are needed or both. They never answer their phone so that you can check to see if they filled the prescription that they were supposed to fill already. I absolutely hate going to this Pharmacy however it is the only Pharmacy in Tehachapi that accepts Kaiser. Today I went to pick up a prescription for my son that was sent in yesterday by his doctor. Not only was the prescription not filled but I waited in line for 15 minutes before the one car ahead of me was taken care of. Then I was asked for my son's information three separate times each by a different person. I waited for over 10 minutes for them to inform me that the prescription was not filled and that it would take 35 to 40 minutes to fill the prescription that should have been filled the day before and could have easily been filled while I spent 10 minutes at the window at the drive-thru. When I asked why the prescription was not filled they stated that they are understaffed with only one pharmacist, I informed them that has been the same excuse that I've heard for three years and obviously things will never change there. Congratulations Walgreens you can now continue to be the worst Pharmacy I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with because we both know you're never going to...
