I normally do not write reviews, however this is by far the worst nail shop experience I have ever had. I came to get my nails done for my birthday. The woman was rude, unprofessional, and very aggressive. She commented several times that I needed to get gel nails— when I told her I wanted regular nail polish. First and foremost— you are not paying for them do not try and demand I do anything. After the first time of me telling you no you should not try to make a client feel badly for their decision.. ever. I of course ignored it and remained quiet. She was very rude and very aggressive. You are making more than the salary of a doctor with his Doctoral degree. If I don’t want gel, I don’t want gel. Two days pass and the nails are popping off, it’s here that I noticed the nails were done thin. It was almost as if by me not wanting Gel she assumed right away I had no money and there would be no tip so she did the minimum to get me in and out. She talked to me like I was a child instead of a 28 year old woman. And she was 100% correct, I did not tip— she was a horrible person. Immediately I called when they began to pop off like five dollar press on nails. Two days had passed— only forty eight hours from my appointment. I came in and it’s the same woman. She then tells me it’s a fee for her to fix them, it’s not her fault that it’s mine. She is screaming at me and yelling like I’m not the client— like I’m an employee or better yet one of her children. I of course do not scream back, I ask to speak with the owner— the last thing I will do is scream back and forth after paying $100 for birthday nails that are popping off like Walgreens press ons. Now I would understand if I was the type to run around, maybe even do heavy lifting work but I’m not…. I work an office job, I go home, and repeat. Regardless, 48 hours, 2 days is a short amount of time for acrylic nails to just begin to pop off of your nails. She gave me a fake name as Tina. I asked another employee and he told me Lee. I am going to look at her license hanging on the wall and update this. She was rude, unprofessional, and completely disgusting personality. She is short, has a bob, wears glasses and walks around with a permanent expression like she hates the world. She kind of reminds me of Edna from the incredibles. I wish I could give a better description but I’m sure If you go in immediately you would know exactly who I am speaking of. Worst experience ever. If you want thin nails, with a guarantee to break in two days, and have an angry lady tell you it’s your fault and you’re required to pay for them to get fixed go here. Not to mention the pricing is ridiculous. So not only do you get an angry aggressive attitude from workers like you aren’t the one paying for it but the service isn’t quality. They just take your money. Looks here are very deceiving. I wondered why they don’t have many employees or clients— it’s probably because of the hostile environment. I was told not to go here and I should’ve listened. Just passing on the advice I wish I would’ve...
Read moreI scheduled an appt for 12:15 (fullset) with Lee the (older woman that sits in the front next to desk). I wanted thick acrylic and nails about and inch coffin shape. Now I didn't think this would be an issue, since I'm paying (extra for shape, gel, length) and that's what I wanted. She just complained about "not liking doing long nails bc it takes forever". She was making me feel crappy about what I requested. This was 2 weeks ago.
Today I had an appointment at 12pm for french tip full set with gel. When i went in there, I had alerted her that I had just removed my acrylics (sensitive, weak nail beds) the day before and that I had a broken nail on my middle finger and please be gentle. She had told me I shouldn't make them long because "other people usually dont do that". she had cut them shorter than what I requested and when I told her I don't like them, she said "fine, them take them off!" and proceeded to vigorously clip the freshly glued white tips off. I was flinching due to fear of her hurting my broken nail and snatching the nail off. She retorted, "you're too picky, have someone else do your nails". I told her "I'm not being picky, you asked me what I wanted and you were rude to me last time too"..she got up and walked to the back and left me..I walked out and had to travel bus somewhere else that will remove the tips she left on and complete the job.smh
DO NOT go to Lee if you go here..go to Nina (sits in the back; does designs) ..I used to rave about this place for months..not anymore.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE MAKING PEOPLE FEEL CRAPPY ABOUT WHAT THEY WANNA PAY FOR.. I'm not returning!! If only I could...
Read moreThe owner is very ungrateful and aggressive. I felt discriminated and uncomfortable while I was at the owners work desk. I came in on Easter Sunday and The girl who does pedicures was wonderful and nice. Loved my pedi. When came it came down to do my finger nails, the owner was working on two people at the same time, me and another lady. She would begin to complain that my nails took too long and she didn’t think they would take this much times. All she did was soak off my acrylic. she sat in front of me for 5 mins tops… the this lady asked 3 times how I wanted my nails and I kept repeating myself. Short rounded natural set. Then she told me how much tips and dips were “$65” and asked if I would be able to pay. First of all why would I order something or be there if I couldn’t afford it… She was super rude and also complained about my not wanting to hurt me by cutting my cuticles. Then suggested if i wanted to come back on Tuesday. She turned down two walk in’s who were black, right away she said I don’t have time, I couldn’t believe it. Her ugly energy was too much. I am very respectful and kind but I became firm itch her and expressed my concerns and left. She didn’t care. I usually go to Pink nails next to Walgreens and will continue to be client there. They were closed on Easter so I came to This Riley’s Nail SalonI got there at 11am and left at 1pm. I spent too much time there with this lady to only leave my nails like...
