Zales — Local services in Temple

I initially called Zales in Temple, TX because I could not find my receipt. I asked if they were able to look up a transaction by the card that was used. I was told, they could not and I would only be able to exchange. I called the location in Killeen with the same question and the lady stated they could not but offered to look it up by phone number. She located the receipt and advised me that I could come in and get a refund. I called the location in Temple, to make sure that they were able to do this in their store as well, Christine (I believe was her name) told me she couldn’t look it up because she did not have access to a computer, she was rude and rushed me off the phone. I asked if I come in can you guys look it up with the phone number and be able to refund it, she told me yes. When I got to the store they told me they could not lookup the receipt with my phone number and that I had to have the original receipt, in order to get a refund. They told me they would not be able to provide a refund, without the original receipt which made no sense. The store in Killeen told me that they could. I called my husband and he looked up their return policy and called back to let them know they could either do the return or we would take further action in court, at this time Rosa Lynn which is the person that told me in store that she was not able to do it started to sing a different tune. When I went back to the store she had the receipt printed out, in hand. There were no problems or issues with my return, literally took her 3 minutes to complete it. Beware if going to this establishment to discreetly exchange an item that wasn't your style. I was told by the associate that I could exchange the item for something in the store. So after finding something that is more my style I am then told that I owe the total amount and that the returned item had gone back to the person's card that paid for it!!!!!! Now they are going to know I returned it, so then I asked to cancel the whole thing and I would just keep the necklace because I didn't want them to know I returned it and offend them. She then says "well at this point you can't have the item back without the original purchaser coming in". That most definitely wasn't going to happen esp as that person lives un South Carolina and I am far too embarrassed to tell him as I'm hoping he doesn't notice I returned it on his card. So went in with the necklace hoping for simple exchange, came out with nothing but pure mortification, thanks Zales

I am beyond disappointed with this establishment as they have left me feeling horrified when my father in law finds out I tried exchanging this.

So if this Christmas you were gifted something from Zales and you don't like it you are COMPLETELY out of luck when it comes to this jeweler!!!!!
